Can I order a mini wedding cake? Do they have menus that can be printed with our anniversary date & names????:confused3

Only the Grand Floridian and BoardWalk bakeries offer the mini wedding cake, but the Yacht & Beach has an excellent bakery that can come up with just about any other design you can think of.

If you call the restaurant directly, you can work with them on personalized menus: 407-934-3818

Hi Deemarch,

Congratulations!! My dear husband and I had our vow renewal in December 2007. We did the escape package and were on our own for our "reception". We chose the Yachtsman Steakhouse and were so thrilled we did. It has such beautiful warm atmosphere and it is located in our favorite hotel so it was a no brainer.

Our contact Mark Hoovenaars, the General Manager was and still is :lovestruc phenomenal to work with. We actually met him on a trip prior to December and we bombarded him with a million questions. He was extremely accomodating, always promptly answered our e-mails and personalized amazing menus for us. They were a huge hit as we sent him pictures of our wedding back in 1995....we looked a bit different 12 years later! The pastry chef is amazing at YSH and he might be able to create something personal for you. We had our wedding cake sent over from the Grand Floridian so we did not need to have dessert. The Boardwalk Bakery is directly across and I can tell you from experience they make amazing wedding cakes and desserts (we ordered one and had it delivered to Spoodles for our 10th anniversary and we almost licked the plate clean:cloud9:).

Best of luck to you and enjoy!!

When DH and I got married (the second for both of us) we were on a cruise ship...Just the two of us. Then we discovered the magic of Disney World about 1 year after and we both love being there so much (sometimes alone, sometimes with kids & grandkids, sometimes with friends...). Anyway, when we got to Anniversary #9 I said to DH..."Where should we go to celebrate our 10th? Hawaii? Bermuda?" He said, "I'd really love to go to DW and stay in a Wilderness Cabin for a week with a golf cart!" (We did this for 3 nights in December 2008). And I have always felt that I loved being in Disney World more than him!!:lmao: I love the idea of the mini wedding cake and menu with a picture or two on it!! Thanks!!

When should I call the Yachtsman Steakhouse to start the ball rolling? Oh, and this is a surprise for my DH...He came through with some nice surprises for me for my birthday trip in March...Gotta "get" him back!!:lovestruc

Hi Deemarch!

Glad to help! I am assuming your anniversary is in December right? It is not too soon to start planning now! I think that the previous poster gave the telephone number to the YSH. Start there and ask for Mark and let him know what you have in mind. He is so easy to work with, guest service is so important to him that he makes everything so perfect!! Since your hubby gave you many surprises, may I suggest a Photopass Photo shoot (they have a cd that will have all the pics included) around the Yacht and Beach Club area at sunset. It is so beautiful and we had an amazing time doing it. You will cherish the memories of that last forever.

I hope this helps!

We were actually talking about this, but I'm not sure if I want to do it? What do they charge for the actual shoot?
