My 25 yr old Goddaughter and I are headed for Disney for her b/day, Jan 1st :cheer2:

Was going to take her to 50's PrimeTime to celebrate the act. day, but thought I'd ask you nice folks:

What restaurants do you think have the best "birthday celebratory" ambiance...I heard Ohana's was fun, but would really appreciate your opinions.

Thanks so much!

GF

Your experience at 50s PTC will depend alot on your server. Some are great, others just so-so.

My DD9 had a wonderful birthday experience at Kona Cafe-she was chosen to make her own dessert by the staff. But, I think it was set up by our server, we asked for her.

Many of the restaurants will do special birthday things but to make sure I would call whichever restaurant you choose and ask what they can do-some put confetti on the table, etc. The reason I say this is the first time we dined at CG it was my DM birthday. I mentioned it when I made ADR, I mentioned it at check-in. Nothing was done, at all. I was very disappointed.

i ate at 1900 park fare for my bday breakfast, and i turned 25 too! They gave me a birthday crown to take home, cupcake w/ candle in it, and a placemat which had the signatures of their characters on it (printed that way).

It was fun, and then for dinner i went to Ohana's. As you have heard, it is fun. I went up when they announced for people with birthdays and other special occasions which was fun. Then they gave me a birthday cupcake and candle and the waitress and my DF sang happy bday.

Maybe choose the place that you would think she'd like the food best at. You could also choose fun atmospheres like Sci-Fi, 50's would be fun but they never did antics for us 25 and 26 year olds, Coral Reef for aquariums, the Biergarten in Epcot has live entertainment. Anywhere in Disney will be a good choice

DH and I went to Cindy's for dinner on our honeymoon and it was wonderful, but I'm not sure you could get an ADR this late in the game for her birthday.

Many restaurants will add a special touch such as a free dessert or a signed card. I was at Boma for our anniversary this past August (DH was in Iraq.. :() but our server still brought us a free dessert and a card signed by the staff.

The Wave also provided us with two free desserts since I was celebrating our anniversary. The service here was wonderful, and the staff was so sweet. Seeing that your goddaughter and I are the same age, this might be a really nice place to go.

Regardless, I am sure it will be wonderful since you're at WDW! Enjoy!

Your best bet may be to make a reservation for whatever's available! You're talking about one of the busiest days in the parks, particularly since schools are mostly still closed on Friday, Jan. 2. So lots of people will still be around, and you may not get much.

Good luck!
