Celebrating my Un-Birthday Disney Style-April 2010-New 5/3 - The TR has started!

really :confused3 how do you do that?

J~

We actually don't buy a lot... The kids will each have their own gift cards for their stuff so $300 should be more than enough. I am planning a DTD outing for me & DH after dinner on date night so we'll see if that changes this year. The kids don't usually give us the opportunity to spend money - they get too antsy to hang out in stores. And if we see some artwork or something more expensive like that, we'll just go above the budget. ;)

And yes, I'd love the spreadsheet! :thumbsup2

Fanny Pack! Do it just as a shout out to the 80s/90s:thumbsup2

Function is always good!

I have no problem wearing a fanny pack...*cough* making DH wear it *cough* However, can't they make them more stylish??? The one we have we got from a sporting goods store and it is just so...blah. If I had say, polka dots or was more feminine looking I would wear it LOUD and PROUD! :rotfl2:

I also wanted to share some information this week about the Flower & Garden Festival that I got from allears:

More than 500,000 plants, trees and shrubs will be planted for this year's 17th annual Flower and Garden Festival at Epcot. Here are some other fun facts about this year's event, which starts this March 3 and runs through May 16, 2010.
-- 250,000 of those 500,000 plants are annual blossoms installed for the festival.
-- 30 million blooms blanket the park throughout the festival, which runs 75 colorful days.
-- More than 70 Disney character topiaries represent the largest collection of Disney character topiary in the world. Included are classic film stars like Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Goofy, Pluto, Cinderella and Tinker Bell.
-- At 14 feet tall, Goofy is the tallest character topiary ever created.
-- 44 "flower towers" of impatiens line Innoventions Plaza.
-- 600 native butterflies represent up to 10 species at Fawn's Butterfly House, a gazebo-type screened enclosure filled with lush plants where guests can view the colorful butterflies.
-- The festival's weekend Flower Power concert series includes 11 artists and groups with 126 Top 40 hits, including 16 No. 1 songs. This year's musical hit-makers from the 1960s and '70s include Jose Feliciano, Paul Revere & The Raiders, David Cassidy, Tony Orlando, Herman's Hermits Starring Peter Noone, Davy Jones, and Chubby Checker & The Wildcats.

And lastly I'll leave you with some weather inforamtion. The current temperature in Orlando: 58 degrees! Current temperature in my town: 58 degrees! :headache: Fortunately the rest of the week will be much warmer in Orlando. This weeks temperatures range between 70 to 78 degrees. (Luckily we'll be having nice weather here this week too. Temps may reach 70 a couple times this week!!)

You are too funny about the park bag! I want to see a 14 foot tall Goofy Topiary!

The good news is 5 weeks can make a HUGE difference in the temps this time of year.

Impressive progress on your list :thumbsup2

Have you received the PhotoPass discount code by email yet? I thought it was part of a Disney Destinations email titled, "Must sees for the XXX party" but have recently heard that it may be in an email titled, "Magical Musts". I'm curious how that works out for you... My PhotoPass share group has been on the look-out for an email with a code. No luck so far... I won't get one since I'm staying offsite. We do have one share member who is a DVCer so she has gotten us a discount code, but we can't use it until after. I hope it works!

Now I know what to get you for your birthday if I make it to Peep Fest :thumbsup2

You are doing a great job with your lists!! I love the comments next to things like:

Thanks! I love the weekly lists! It makes it so fun to get each list finished - it means we're another week closer to bliss! :cloud9:

I'll make sure to get a picture of Goofy for you!

It seems as though the weather has started to shift back to normal down there already, it's just been crazy warm here. Record highs today. :thumbsup2

Hey! We actually a fanny pack that has cupholders. We use it for hiking though and put waterbottles in it. It's the bomb. I would never take it to the parks....

seriously every time I see those sparkly fanny packs I think they are, uh, something else and do a double take.

I'll make sure to get a picture of Goofy for you!

Oh I'd love that!!! Evan would get the biggest kick out of it.

Your to-do list is looking pretty good!!!

Don't stress about the weather too much! Today it was in the 60s here, so I am sure Florida will be warming up in no time!

Honestly I'm more worried about our probable February/March 2011 trip... The weather was so cold down in Florida this year, I'm hoping that was a fluke and we'll at least get spring-like weather next year. I won't be surprised if we don't get to swim, but I'd be disappointed if we had to wear winter hats!

This has been the coldest winter here in the south that I can remember in a long, long time. I didn't think spring would ever get here.

Oh my goodness! It's sure to get better... March weather is always a bit schizophrenic!

Happy Five Weeks!!

I noticed that you are planning to buy Easter basket grass... I have stopped buying the plastic grass because no matter how hard I try to clean it up, I find shreds of it around the house for several months afterward!!
