Just wanted to say a quick hello. Ill be booking this cruise on 2/15 and will be taking both my littles with me DS-9 and DS-6. Im coming home from Iraq for a three week R & R and to spend some quality time with my boys. This is my first time taking a cruise any special tips or recomendations would be much appreciated!!!

Thank you very much. I have a new appreciation for soldiers since deploying last December. I am over here as a DOD advisor and we work closely with the military. They are the ones that are owed the thanks!!

The Boys and I cant wait to meet you all. This is going to be fun!!

Just booked yesterday for the Magic and I am so excited! This will be our 4th Cruise (only DCL). I just booked some spa time and a meal at Palo. I feel like packing already! Hurray

I don't think we'd be much help, unless she wants to babysit... My girls are 15 months and 3 years old. I'm sure your daughter will be able to find some girl friends at the teen club.

Anyone else have a GTY stateroom? I keep checking to see if we are assigned a stateroom number. I wonder when this will happen and I am hoping for some pixie dust for an upgrade.

I don't know what a GTY is but when I switched my cruise from the Dream to Magic, she put a room number on our reservation. Does this mean we won't be eligible for any pixie dust? I was hoping to maybe get upgraded.

We have been on a cruise for the Superbowl as well as the World Series and been able to watch onboard. Do you think we will be able to watch William and Kate's wedding????????

I've been checking room numbers even if we are not GTY. Booked in cat 11b 2 rooms.

I plan on setting the DVD for the wedding. Im expecting it to take hours and don't plan to spend cruise time watching it.

We will be on board for out 20th wedding anniversary. I am really looking forward to it.It will be our fourth our last was the panama canal east bound in 08 so we are kinda feeling withdraws.

Sorry it has taken so long to respond. That was the only Character Breakfast we received (we did not have two) so it may have been that we had that rotation and it worked out that way.

I am curious about this....was the character breakfast the one you get already and it just happened to be on Easter? I requested PLA rotation and from what I read, if you have Parrot's for your starting restaurant then you have your character breakfast on that Sunday which would be Easter. Did you only have that one breakfast or did you get two? I don't know if this makes any sense. LOL But if everyone gets to do the Easter breakfast do the people who were going to get the one on Sunday get to go to a different one?

I just realized we will be on board for THE wedding...Prince William and Kate...do you think that we will be able to watch it somewhere?

My kids are so excited and talking about how they can't wait for kids club! I have started working on clothing for the trip - 4 kids means a lot of packing!! And so excited that spring is coming and all the bright summer clothes and dresses are hitting the stores.

We are coming from CA too - just choose small/light things for FE. I know the suitcase limitations are a bummer, but FE is so fun for the kids.

Where in CA are you? We are in south Orange County.

In case anyone was assigned to late dining and wanted early, it is now available. We were on the wait list and were switched over automatically.
From the looks of things, I don't think the ship will be very full.

I, like you, am getting VERY excited! I have 2 little girls, so dressing and packing for them is part of the fun for me. Everytime I think they have enough clothes, something cuter comes along! Let's just say that I'm glad we're driving down because that 50lb suitcase limit would hamper my plans!

I have 3 girls (plus a boy) so I know the effort it takes to pack for the family. And I also like to coordinate the outfits for photo purposes which makes it even more work! BUT the spring clothes and easter dresses are all coming out now and I love the colors. Unfortunately we are flying so suitcase space becomes a challenge (and weight limits!). Have fun and see you in about 6 1/2 weeks!

Just a quick note - I was on with Disney cruise people because I could not log onto one of our reservations to do online checkin today. I asked what special events might be going on during our week and she excitedly said "wow, you will be on for the Royal Wedding" - she thought DCL would definitely try to show it assuming they can get the satellite feed. Just thought I would share as I remember some people inquiring about the wedding.
