Hey-New to the forums, but have ReAlLy LOVED all the awesome tips I have read.

My question is: We will be celebrating our daughters (aka the lil princess) princess: first birthday, and our sons pirate: 3rd birthday. We would like to have a "little party" for them with disney characters. What would be the best place to go to celebrate? There will be 4 adults also. This is our first time to DisneyWorld.

Suggestions????

Crystal Palace for Pooh & The Gang or Chef Mickey's for Mickey and the Gang!

Not the best food ever, but fine buffet food. The interaction makes it worth it!

We had a great time celebrating my niece and nephew's b-days at Ohana character breakfast. They both got hawaiian leis and certificates with their name. You can do a group shot before your seated then you're seated with Pineapple bread and cinnamon rolls. There's juice, coffee and a family style breakfast of eggs, sausage, bacon, mickey waffles, potatoes. Personally the food is hte best of any character meal we've been too. The characters are stitch, lilo, mickey and pluto. We've had great character inaction at O'hana everytime we've been. For the b-days they gave each kid their own cupcake with candle to blow out. It was really cute. Then stitch came over and put my nephew's cupcake in his face which was so funny. My nephew was so shocked then started licking the icing off his face.

Also make sure your dd and ds get b-day buttons to wear around the parks. All the CMs made a fuss over my niece and nephew with their b-day buttons on.

I second Crystal Palace. Make sure that when you call to make your ADR that you let them know that you are celebrating a birthday.

We really like Chef Mickey's for dinner to celebrate my son's birthdays. We usually order a cake ahead of time by calling Chef Mickeys a couple of days before. It is a really fun atmosphere and they do a song to celebrate birthdays at different times during the meal. We have tried other places but DS thinks this one is the most fun.

:cheer2: Ok, I did it. i made a reservation at Chef Mickeys for 9pm on a friday. Its kinda late, but all they had for our visit. What can I expect. Daughter is 1 and son will be 3. We are staying off site-how do we get there??

We love Crystal Palace for breakfast too (Pooh and gang are my favs). DH had called the resort before our arrival and told them we were there celebrating my 50th birthday and they marked it on all of our ADR's. When we had breakfast at Crystal, the table was decorated with confetti, ribbons and I got a card signed by all the characters and a cupcake and Tigger came over when the waiter sang happy birthday to me.

I also took the confetti with me and whenever we got on a ride and a little girl or boy seemed upset (tired, cranky from the heat--whatever), I would dig in to my confetti bag and sprinkle a little in their hand and tell them it was pixie dust. They immediately became happy and were smiling from ear to ear. It was fun making someone else's day magical.
