Celebrating a birthday at the park?

We are at DL this week and next. My dd's birthday was Dec 11th, but we didn't have a party or anything, knowing we would be coming here and taking her to Ariel's grotto for dinner. So tomorrow is our dinner, and we have declared it her birthday as far as our family is concerned. When we were watching the parade last night I noticed someone sitting near to us had something on designating it was their birthday and a few of the parade characters wished her a happy birthday - is it possible to get something like that for dd to wear even though it's not her "real" birthday?

Go to City Hall right when you walk into the park on Main St. Let them know it's her birthday and they'll give her a birthday pin. I hope you have a great time.

I have a question along the same lines. We are going Jan 29-Feb 1 to celebrate my birthday.. which isnt until March 14th. Do you think that for an adult they will check ID? Or, do you think I will still be able to get the pin?

They do NOT check ID. The buttons are all about *celebrating*, not the exact date. If you're celebrating a birthday, that's all they care about!


Now for next year, with the "celebrations" year, to get the special, worth something, birthday perks you *will* need to show ID. But the buttons have never needed ID, they are just about celebration.

They have pins for aniversaries, 1st time visit, birthday, etc.

For your birthday, at City Hall you can get a special phone call, and my favorite a free package of fresh tortillas at the Mission tortilla plant instead of just one!

Like the others have said it does not have to be your proper b-day to get a pin, just the free park day in 2009.
