My DH will have his birthday while we are at WDW in May. What are some creative ways we could celebrate his special day? What kind of surprises could I line up? I'd love to hear some of your stories!

Thanks!

On one of my birthdays DW made reservations at O'Hana's and I was surprised by several waiters singing "Happy Birthday" and brought out a very lovely Mickey cake. Also make sure to stop at guest relations to receive your birthday button. This past November my DW celebrated here 26 with a visit to WDW and receive numerous wish of "Happy Birthday" and while at AK one CM sang to her everytime he saw her. It is a blast.

Our last family trip in January landed on my b-day. DW and the kids (along with DM) made sure that the host at Chef Mickey's the night before my b-day and the hostess at Cinderella's Royal Table on the morning of knew about my b-day. It was a little embarrassing getting the extra attention of the characters at these restaurants, but seeing the kids happiness at the houpla made it definitely worth it. At Chef Mickey's, they also brought out a special "autographed" place mat and a complimentary dessert. At CRT, I got a certificate signed by each of the princesses as they came to visit our table.

I will second the b-day pin advice of the previous poster. I got quite a few b-day wishes from various CM and just other random park guests.

You can also arrange to order a birthday cake for delivery to one of the restaurants at the parks or resorts. Depending upon where you want delivery, you would need to find the specific bakery/facility to call to make arrangements.

You can also check out some ideas at allearsnet. Click here.

Have a great trip!

Definitely stop at Guest Relations and get a button. We took my son for his b-day this year, and he loved the extra attention. We even had one CM who let us through the fast pass line for Big Thunder Mountain without one as a b-day gift!
