We will be celebrating my sons 5th birthday at Coral Reef in Epcot, is there anything special we can have them do? Can we order a cake and will they sing happy birthday. My son loves fish so I think the setting will be perfect, just wondering what they will do to help us celebrate the ocassion.

I've heard that you can have a diver hold up a sign from inside the tank...but I've never been there myself.

The diver might be cool but seeing as my son doesnt read, not sure if he would understand or not. I love the personalized menu idea, do you know what the charge is for this?

The diver service and personalized menu are free services, but DON'T TELL ANYONE!;) :)

I just spoke with a cm and they told me those services were not available. Do I need to contact the restaurant to make these arrangements?
Thanks

I know that you can order a cake though disney dining there is a cake that feeds 8-10 people for $25 my friend ordered one for her two kids for Jan 3 and they had it ay Tony's when we had dinner there for a birthday dinner. The cake was very yummy....i think you have to prepay if you are stayingon property i'msure they would just add it to your room

:sad2: Sadly the Cm you spoke to is correct. The dive tank or getting Mickey to hold up a sign are very difficult to come by. Our son turned 7 there and we tried everything short of an act of congress and nothing worked. The Cm that we worked with said it was only a 'once in a blue moon' thing and that never to depend on it.
A cake may be the best thing you can do and they can be ordered for a small cost.

Sorry, I wish I had better news for you. Chances are with a 5 year old, the wonderful fish and awesome tank will be enough to dazzle him. :thumbsup2

The CM is wrong.
You can still get either depending on availability.
You must have an ADR already before they will respond.

I just requested personalized menus fo my 4 year olds birthday...
They asked me for pictures and they will make it! You have to be able to upload/email pictures in!

Contact the restaurant directly for a diver or a personalized menu

How far in advance do you recommend contacting Coral Reef? We will be going in June, but I was unsure when I should contact them.

Thanks

I would think the earlier the better...
I did this VERY late and only did it 1 week before our reservation... It depends on how much you want to get this done...

I personally have told NO ONE going to lunch with us about it...
Not even my husband as I requested a personalized menu for him too since it was just his birthday saturdayl!
