I also just realized that was your first post!! I have seen this many times on other people's TR's and have always wanted to do it. Here it goes..........

:welcome: to the DIS!!

Also, I wanted to say post some pictures of your family. They look beautiful on your avatar, but it is a small picture. I love to put faces with names!!

Thanks!!!!
We do have our hands full but I wouldn't change it either (i'm having a good day....can you tell???) I do find that they need us less for help but I play referee alot. I'm hoping it's just a phase.

April will be our 6th trip to Disney. Weve stayed at AK (1st yr), WL (2nd & 3rd yrs , Poly (4th) & finally....after years of coupon clipping, craigslisting, deal searching (buy 4 get 3), and an appearance on a game show - we arrived at GF! All were beautiful & magical but if I had to choose a fave it would be AK. Unfortunately, it is also the least convenient in terms of getting to the parks with 4 kids & two double strollers. I'm hoping we go back....one day. This year will be our last visit to GF (unless Disney decides to lower the rates A LOT). Next year I'm aiming for POR since I have heard great things about it. I've never looked into the All Star suites...I'll be researching it as soon as I peel the frozen snowsuits off my kids!!!! btw...I've noticed our DH's are sporting the same hairdo...hahaha spooky!

Ok I will go first! This is our last day of last years holiday. Never a happy day!!!!!

Aww, your family is so super cute! I must say that your oldest looks like dad, and the youngest looks just like you!!

I love this picture! :lmao:

Here is a picture of us from New Year's Eve. From left to right is me (Denise), granddaughter Presleigh on my lap, daughter Maggie, daughter Sarah Jo, granddaughter Rilynn, husband Tom, son Lee. We were babysitting for son Josh and his wife Natalie.

Denise
I am glad you like the picture of screaming Donald. I am sure you remember those days.

So you have four kids as well. It is amazing to me how fast a family can multiply. You already have 2 grandkids!! Just think how many you will have 10 years from now! You have a lovely family, and I think your son, Lee, looks just like you.

Nope, TDL is still up and running. They have two parks there actually! Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo Disney Sea. Although the second one has nothing to do with water! I think Hong Kong Disneyland was having some problems due to what they thought would be a very lucrative money maker. But the attendance at that park has been very low but it's the smallest park out of all the Disney parks in the world so it my be expected. They don't have much on rides there either. I have not gotten the chance to go but there are plans in the works!

I've been very lucky to have chances to go overseas. I don't think at this point I would change it. If we get a chance to get stationed in Japan again or go to either Disneyland Paris and Hong Kong Disney. We are really thinking about going to Disneyland Paris next year when DH comes back from training. We'll have to play it by ear and see what happens. But I'm expecting it to happen.

Or if the USAF wants to send us to Germany that'd be great too!

I would totally do that if and when I get a chance to visit those parks again! Thanks for the idea!

You didn't post me a picture. That's ok, I have already seen you and your handsome hubby in previous pics. Thank goodness you already posted me some or I would be mad.;)

You still have to show me some pics of the different parks. Have you ever seen a TR for Disneyland Paris, or Hong Kong Disney? I would love to see them. If you do get to go back to Disneyland Paris, then you better do a TR.

Well, since you requested so nicely here is a family picture with Mickey last June. My DD isn't quite so bald now, though she doesn't have nearly as much hair as your DD.
Florida2009043-1.jpg

And I just have to include this picture of my DH dancing with Minnie. See, she can be nice sometimes, LOL.
Florida2009050.jpg

I am glad you thought I asked nicely. I thought I was quite demanding and intimidating.:rotfl: It is amazing how much kids looks can change in just a year! Your DD is still beautiful even without that much hair. Your whole family is beautiful. I love the pic of your DH and Minnie. I guess she just had a crush on your DH!

Here's one of us on our very first day on our last trip

DD2 hadn't arrived on this trip so here's one of our wee bundle of joy

OK, I must admit. When I saw that picture of your dd2, it gave me baby fever. I just wanted to reach in the screen and give her a squeeze. I also love the picture of your beautiful family. Your DS is hilarious with his hang ten hand pose. I can't tell who your kids look like more because your DH looks incognito with his hat and sunglasses. I will definitely say they look like you with their blond hair. Soooooo cute! I love your hair style.

Oh my goodness. First I must say that your family is soooooo gorgeous!! You are gonna have to beat the boys off of your girls, good thing your DH looks intimidating with the bald head and all. :thumbsup2 People always tell me my husband has a nice head, and it always cracks me up for some reason. I have people say he looks intimidating because of it, and he is the exact opposite. He is probably the nicest person anyone could ever meet. He has a lot of patience, because he hardly ever yells. He is completely hands on as well. The first thing he does when he gets home from work is ask me what I need help with and then he either starts helping me with dinner or playing with the kids.

I love the picture of your DH with your DS. You can tell he loves having a little mini me. DS is too cute. I also love that picture of you with your older two girls in front of the castle. BEAUTIFUL! Actually I love all the pics. They are all very good!

Now, I am dying to know what game show you were on. You must tell me more, and you must do a TR. Your trip is just around the corner!!! Man, I am demanding!:p

I was wondering when you were going to post me some pics! Your family is beautiful. I can not believe how much your DD changed in just one year. She is so very beautiful. How old is your dS now? I just want to eat him up. Cutie!! I also love his prince charming frog prince bib.

Thank you!!!! Yes, she has really grown. Lol. DS is 11 weeks old. It seems like just like yesterday I was in labor. Do I have baby fever? :confused3
DH will do this...:scared1:

Sometimes I do get the baby fever. My DH says we are done, but sometimes we talk about having another one. I don't think we are going to though. I will just have to hold other people's babies. That's fine with me.:)

That's funny! We are debating on another one in three years. Lol. Now, the first couple of weeks are horrible with the getting up every hour or two but it gets better. DS gets up maybe once during the night now.

That sleep deprivation is killer. You are lucky that DS only gets up once a night. All of my babies got up every 2 hours for like the first 6 months. I didn't even know the meaning of the word sleep deprivation until I had my first baby. That alone is enough to make you a little crazy at times. I am not a happy person to be around when I don't get at least 6 hours of sleep.

So we started off the day doing TSM, and seeing meeting Buzz and Woody right after. We were doing good on time. I knew we were wanting to go see the 10:30 showing of Playhouse Disney, but it wasn't nearly time yet. So we went to see the Little Mermaid show first. I must admit that this was a really good show, even my boys liked it. I was impressed with all the special effects they did, and Ariel was beautiful and did a wonderful job. My boys were such good sports. They never complained about having to see all this Princess stuff this trip. They always happily got in pictures with the princesses. I am telling you, they will do anything for their sister. She knows it too.

After The Little Mermaid we headed right across the street to Playhouse Disney. I was a little nervous because there weren't many people in line, and I didn't want to sit in the very front because I knew my kids would not be able to see up on the stage. They opened the doors and started letting people in. We went in and sat about halfway back. Too bad it didn't last. A CM came over and told us we had to scoot all the way up to the front so the people that come in behind us can get a spot. So I scooted up, but not all the way to the front. It didn't matter because nobody wanted the front and so nobody would come sit in front of us. Then the CM comes back over and tells us to scoot all the way up to the taped line. Darn, I didn't want to sit that close. Of course, my kids could hardly see the people that come out on stage because that stage is so high. I recommend not getting in line early, because they will make you scoot up. I would rather be in the very back of the room. The back is probably the best place to view it from. Next time I am not getting in line until they are about to shut the doors.

I held my camera up to get this picture.

194.jpg

We could see the characters when they came up to the edge of the stage.

191.jpg

188.jpg

Donald(DS4) kept trying to see so he would stand up. Then we would have to tell him to sit back down.

We love the playhouse disney show. We have seen it before. My older two were not as thrilled about it anymore, but the younger two loved it!! So, after massaging the cricks out of our necks, we headed over to do the Star Tours ride. We knew we were going to eat lunch at the Pizza Planet, and this was on the way over there. We told the kids that we could only ride it once because we had to get to lunch before Pizza Planet got crowded. Of course the younger two couldn't ride Star Tours so I opted to sit out with them while DH took Goofy(DS7) and Lego(DS6) on. Let me just back up a minute and say that my son Lego(DS6) loves star wars. All he wanted for Christmas was a bunch of star wars stuff. Of course some of this stuff would be star wars legos. So I was surprised when he announced that he didn't want to ride Star Tours. He was hungry and just wanted to get to lunch. Well, Goofy(DS7) was wanting to ride so DH went ahead and took Goofy(DS7) on since there was only a 10 minute wait. Wouldn't you know it, as soon as they had walked out of sight Lego(DS6) decides that he does want to ride Star Tours. Of course he starts in with the tears and I tell him I will take him on it when DH and Goofy(DS7) get off. In my head I am calculating minutes and thinking that we are going to hit the mad rush of lunchers. So I give a dramatic sigh to make myself feel better and get myself mentally prepared to have to fight off people for a table at Pizza Planet.

I took this picture while waiting. Lego(DS6) was pouting, so he did not want to get in the picture.

197.jpg

DH gets off of the ride and I tell him that now Lego(DS6) is wanting to ride, so I will take him on it and then we will go to lunch. DH gives me a roll of the eyes, and then I head to the ride with Lego(DS6). I warn Lego while standing in line that we are not going to stay in the gift shop that you have to walk through because we have to go to lunch afterwards. I also tell him that we will come back and walk through it later in the day. He agrees and we get on the ride, and then it happens again. Motion sickness. What has happened to me? I had never gotten sick on rides before this trip. I must have hit my head or something before the trip. Maybe it is from the constant head butts that you get from kids. I can't tell you the number of times I have been hit in my head by my kids. :rotfl:
So we get off the ride and I drag Lego(DS6) through the store. Of course he is trying to stop and touch everything. Now, I bet you are wondering what DH did while we were in the ride for 15-20 minutes. He was getting a snack of course, and he knew we were getting ready to eat lunch. Oh well, if it keeps them happy!

195.jpg

He also had taken some pictures of the kids while Lego(DS6) and I were on the ride.

We get to Pizza planet about 11:45. We walk in and I am shocked. There was no line yet. So we ordered our pizza's and turn around. When we turn around there is a line going out the door. :confused3 We must have gotten there right before a show let out or something. So we took our pick of tables. The kids wanted to eat upstairs. I took one picture at the pizza planet and it was this.

198.jpg

I have no idea where that picture came from. I am guessing one of the kids actually took it. If I had been taking pictures, you know I would have gotten the food! Sorry, no food pics in this portion. Of course Princess(DD2) spilled her drink, once again, all over herself. This was the third time this trip. So, I changed her clothes, we finished eating, everyone used the bathroom, and we were off once again. The next thing on our agenda was the 1:30 showing of Lights, Motor, Action. I was originally wanting to see the Power rangers again before the show, but we had already missed them since we ate lunch later than expected. That's fine, I noticed that they had a penguin out over at the club penguin area, so we headed over there and the kids got their picture taken with this guy.

campingandDisney2009562.jpg

campingandDisney2009563.jpg

campingandDisney2009564.jpg

Then we headed over to the show. It was hot outside, but they have big fans in the bleachers so we sat right under one of the fans. This show was awesome!!

campingandDisney2009610.jpg

Here is a short clip for your enjoyment.

Well, I was going to insert a short clip right here, but I have to wait for it to upload to my photobucket. I will show it to you later after it has uploaded.

Here is a picture of Princess(DD2) enjoying the show.

campingandDisney2009565.jpg

Obviously she was thrilled. Ha Ha.

I know that you are wondering if we did the Star Wars Jedi training since my boys like Star Wars. Well, we didn't do it this year because we did it last year. I was so nervous last year that they would pick one of my older boys, and not the other. We got there super early and were the first ones standing by the stage. I had some star wars clothes on my kids. Thank Goodness they picked both of them. Lego(DS6) was almost five at the time that we did it. He was the one in the spot with the light saber that doesn't open up. They kept messing with him the whole time. I could tell he was embarrassed, but he was a good sport about it. Now all him and Goofy(DS7) talk about is when their force is going to start working. They keep asking me why they don't have the force yet, and I keep telling them they have to keep training because it comes when you are a teenager. I figure by the time they are teenagers, they will realize that they will never be able to move stuff around with their minds. Here are some pictures from them doing the Jedi Training last year!

They still talk about that training. Anyway, back to my current TR. So we loved Lights, Motor, Action. After it was over we decided to go on our second round of TSM. Of course we loved it just as much as the first two times we rode it. Goofy(DS7) was excited this trip because he had been wanting to do TOT, but was never big enough before. So I asked DH if he wanted to ride it with Goofy(DS7) or if I could do it. He told me to go ahead because he didn't really care about stuff like that. I told DH I would pick us up some FP's for RNRC since I would be over there. We said goodbye. I left with Goofy(DS7) to ride tower of terror while DH took the other kids to the playground. What a sweet DH.

This ride really scared me.I was holding on to my DS for the life of me. I seriously left a handprint on his knee where I was trying to hold him down. I thought for sure we were going to fly out of there. It was fun, but I like stuff like roller coasters better. See if you can find me and Goofy in this picture.

campingandDisney2009570.jpg

I am not the only one holding down my kid. It looks like the lady in front of me was holding down hers too. I also thought that the girl on the other side of my DS was holding on to his other leg at first glance, then I noticed she is holding on to the seat.

We rode the TOT, got FP's for RNRC, and made it back to my DH in about 30 minutes. This is what I saw when I got there.

Great update! Sorry you had to sit so close to the stage during Disney's Playhouse! You all made it in time at Pizzafari! We always make it in time there, too! lol. No food pics??? What were you thinking??? Lol. Well, did any of your food look like this?

Just found your TR today and read it at work..while I was suppose to be updating some reports. :cool2: I love a TR that I can relate too! I am in popcorn::, can't wait for the next installment!

Your kiddos are too adorable! I love that your DS7 is a comedian! My DS4 is constantly making me smile and laugh. He can get out of almost anything with a one liner or a knock knock joke. He has saw me on the Dis some much he picked out his own icon :lmao: and imitates it constantly. LOL

I want everyone who is following along on this TR to post a picture of you and your family!! This includes all of you lurkers out there. I love to get to know everybody, and this helps me to get to know you all a little better!!

Great advice about the Playhouse Disney show. I wouldnt have thought about getting in line early and not being able to see the show. It has been a long time since we have done that one, but dd2 will love it when we go in May.

It does seem awfully hot for early May! I hope it will be fairly mild this time around. I can't wait to ride ToT, I've never done it before. It's funny, I was wondering why the lady on the other side of you was holding onto your DS, too! :lmao: It totally looks like she is!

Wow, you read this TR while at work? I'm impressed.;)

Thanks for giving me one of these guys....popcorn::. I always feel special that people like to eat popcorn while reading my TR. I can't believe that I am that interesting!

Your DS would totally fit in with my boys. Your kids are beautiful, and I can't believe how long your DD's hair is. She must have had a lot of hair as a baby. I wish I could go with you on your trip at the end of this year.

Great trip report! Your kiddos are so cute. I good freind of mine has 3 boys and the older 2 always pair off and leave the younger one behind. She is preggo and due in May...maybe she'll finally get her princess!

Oh, I hope she does have a little girl. It definitely has been a lot different, and a lot of fun. I don't know what I would do without my princess. We probably would have more money in savings, because I sure do shell out the bucks everytime I walk past girls clothes. I can not pass up cute little sundresses.

I have several friends who have either 3 boys or 3 girls, and then their fourth one is the opposite. Here's your friend some pixie dust.pixiedust:

Oh yeah, May is a good time to have a baby. My princess is May 2nd. She should be finding out what she is having soon if she is due in May. Let me know when she finds out. I will be interested to know.

It was pretty hot, but honestly it only bothered us when we were in Epcot doing the World Showcase. I think because you don't really have anywhere to cool off. At the other parks and even in future world at Epcot, it wasn't so bad because we were constantly off and on rides that were air conditioned. Hopefully this year won't be as hot. It has already started off cooler than last year! pixiedust:

It does seem awfully hot for early May! I hope it will be fairly mild this time around. I can't wait to ride ToT, I've never done it before. It's funny, I was wondering why the lady on the other side of you was holding onto your DS, too! :lmao: It totally looks like she is!

:rotfl2: I am glad I am not the only one that thought that.

I think it will be cooler this year since it has already been cooler this winter. You will be having so much fun that you honestly won't even care. At least, you won't care until you walk the world showcase at Epcot. ;) I don't know how all the performers get out there in the heat in hot clothes. I hope they get paid well.
