Yesterday was a loooooooong day. I started with working in the infant/toddler childcare room for most of the day, babysat grandkids after school until their mom got home from work, then headed back to work for a staff scrapbooking project.

We had alot of fun and my photo board was pictures of DGD from our WDW trip last January.

I purchased another board so that I can do one for DGS. These will be Christmas presents. DD was just here and really liked the one for DGD.

Your scrapbooking night was very successful. It looks great!

I'm getting the bug to start packing. I'm getting even more excited. Is that possible? My mom is coming on Wednesday and staying until hubby and I get home from WDW.

I am hoping that the colder than normal weather they're having lately will be long gone by the time we get there. Please, oh, please! I may live in Chicago but I hate the cold weather.

Here's some pictures from our last trip to MK. DGS did not want to get down and meet the characters so DH carried him on his shoulders and away they went.

That is one thing DH is looking forward to - not having to carry anyone

I AM SOOOOOO EXCITED FOR DISNEY! Yet at the same time I have so much to do beforehand with the holiday and such that I am so not looking forward to. The days will go by soooo fast.

I made 2 scapbook like pages for our windows. One for my BFF and her hubby's room. One for me and DH room. Maybe I can get my DH to show me how to upload and post pictures. That would be grand! I need more decorations from the party store and I need to make tags for my backpack and such.

I can't wait!

I have been wavering about decorating our window/door this year. Not sure if very many people do that at a moderate.

I made window clings and magnets last year. The window clings did really well on DD's window but on mine the ink begun running so we had to take half of them off. I put mickey heads from HD on the door with a pad of sticky notes and a pen. We had 4-5 people leave us notes. The kids thought that was fun.

I then gave the window clings to grandkids to use in their rooms.

Woke up yesterday with a sore throat and cough. Still have it today - taking meds. So much to do before we leave and we are short staffed at work - so I really don't have time to be ill. Just hope DH doesn't get it cause then that would be next week

We are in the single digits - can't believe it.


Hoping for warm weather for the trip - woke up- to 21 degress here this morning and high is suppose to be 43 today.

9 DAYS!!!!!

Just received an email from my stepbrother. Turns out he and his GF are not going to CA for Thanksgiving they are coming to my house! And my husbands brother and sister have yet to "make up their minds" (which is not unusual) if they are coming or not. My dinner keeps getting bigger and bigger.

I was reading a not so nice thread last night about people decorating their windows at the resorts. Turns out some people are offended by the window decorations. Huh? I don't comprehend. They always put a smile on my face. Some people need to lighten up. BUT I intend on decorating my window whether they like it or not. We decorated our doors last year at the WL. Too cute. I have to find a photo for you.

It has been colder than ususal here for a least a week now. High's mid-30's, lows sometimes in the teens. Icky! Icky! Icky! We had snow flurries this morning but nothing is left. I checked the Orlando weather for the next 5 to 7 days and it is upper 60's to low 70's for the highs and mid 40's to 50 for the lows. Which is much better than here but I'm still bringing my winter coat. I might want it for the evenings. I do not like the cold!

OMG! I hope you get better soon and that your DH doesn't come down with it. That thought is in the back of my mind. I hope we don't get sick. It's rough being sick in Disney but at least the kids won't be there because they always seem to get much sicker than we do. Although my BFF who's coming with us, they went Feb 08 and her and her daughter got so sick they had to go to the ER/quick care place. That's bad! Here's hoping for the best!

You must decorate window. Check out this thread though. I called and disney was clueless about the $25 charge. CM I spoke to said just make sure you take it all down. Which I always do.

Am sitting here at work (lunch break) reading the boards. Still feel cruddy. Today I have pretty much lost my voice - the kids in class said I sounded funny. One little boy tried to put my voice back in for me. As he boarded the bus I asked if he could bring my voice back to school on Monday It sure is hard to get the attention of 14 preschool children when you have no voice.

Tomorrow I am off so I plan on looking at the window decorations I have and deciding if I want to do any for this trip. I also need to find some knit gloves to take. I believe they are in a basket in my room (now that's another story).

8 days to go - I am hoping for weather in the 70's - not sure if we will get that though. I guess anything is better than what I have right now.

5 days, hope you are feeling better.

I wish I was feeling better The cold has now moved into my ears and I can hardly hear. Family is getting tired of me say "what". At least the sore throat isn't as bad. I tried different cold meds and they seemed to work but then I also began having nose bleds and that's not good. The second day I spent almost 2 hours trying to get the nose bled to stop. It would stop for about 5-10 minutes and then start up again. I was getting ready to call my DMIL to take me to the hospital when I finally got it to stop. So I am not taking any more cold meds. Do not want a repeat of our flight to Hawaii. I had a nose bled in the airport for an hour and was afraid they wouldn't let me fly. That was not the best trip I have had. Enough of that though.

We went shopping today and left the house a 3:30 am to drive 1 hour to Walmart. I have never seen it so busy. It took us 15 minutes just to get inside after they opened. We were able to get the things we wanted and then we got to stand in line again for 70 minutes to purchase our items.

We went to several more stores and arrived back home around 2:30 pm. So did I get very many Christmas presents no.

I got some new clothes for me since I have lost some weight and needed them

I did get some Disney Christmas clings to put on the window in our room - yes I am going to decorate I also got another SD card for the camera.

I can't believe that we have only 5 days before we leave. We still have family across the street at my in laws. Oh yeah did I mention that before my DH parents live across the street. We will probably spend some time with them tonight. Tomorrow I have to take my car in for a front wheel alignment and get the snow tires put on.

I should probably start packing - need to try on my capris to see if they fit or if they are too big

Christmas decorations - i will see how I feel tomorrow and Sunday and then decide if I will put them out before we leave. All of my boxes are outside in the shed.

Enough of my rambling - got go pick up the house some before going to the in laws. Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving.

Saw the doctor today and got some meds - hopefully my ears will clear out before we leave.

Started seriously packing today - gotta wash some jeans and get DH's clothes and should be ready to go.

I have been MIA for a few days. I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! We had a slight glitch in our turkey cooking and dinner ended up being 2hrs late! I told you I was a terrible cook. If there is a way to ruin dinner I will find it.

We are going to get 3 to 6 inches of snow in the next 24 hours. The kids are excited. I am hoping it will come and go before Wednesday because if my flight is delayed I will be so Speaking of flights I should check on them. I can't believe it is 3 DAYS away!!!!!!

Now that I am posting pictures I need to find a picture of DH and I. These are a rare breed. I'll go look.

You'r like us hardly any pictures of just the two of us - I plan to change that in 3 days too.

Can hardly believe it's in 3 days - hopefully my ears clear out before then. I am only able to hear muffled sounds. DH says something to me and I have to go right up next to him to and ask what he said I even asked him if the tv volume was on earlier

I did get everything packed and am ready to go except for my personal care items (makeup, brush, comb, etc). Am charging camera batteries as I type.

I have a busy week so have a safe and great trip. Oh by the way DH wanted you all to know he is a BEARS fan. He is watching and making me watch with him. So I plug in huis lap top.

My Mom and I banned DH to the TV upstairs to watch the Bears game. What a great Chicago girl I am, huh?
