Celebrating 25 years of marriage at WDW in December! WE LEAVE IN 7 HOURS!!!

That is ashame about your lay offs. I worked at a pre school that closed down. I miss it so much. Kids that age are so much fun,and they are so on my level. They like either princess or cars.:lmao:

Welcome

Thanks for saying we look to young  that Wii Fit must really be helping me looking younger :lmao: :woohoo: :rotfl2:

I am a preschool teacher :teacher: Not sure if progress reports will finished on time. They just laid off the early childhood staff (combo class and childcare) and the 3-5 staff are going to have to teach their classes and then take up the slack in the childcare class. (At least this was the rumor on Friday - should know on Monday how they are going to do this).

We have it noted on our reservations that it is our 25th anniversary and we plan on getting the buttons. We have not made any ADR's since I wouldn't eat enough at each meal.

We went out with DH's boss last night for dinner and I was only able to eat 1/4 - 1/2 of the meal. Made nice leftovers today for lunch. :cool1: :cool1:

We plan on attending the MVMCP on 12/4.

We have big plans for each day and will have to see what we can get done each day.

Thursday 12/4 - AK and MVMCP
Friday 12/5 - Epcot and DHS for Osbourne Lights
Saturday 12/6 - DHS, DTD, and finish the evening at MK until close

We live in an area of about 5,000 with a few stores. So in order to do any shopping at Kmart, Fred Meyer, etc we have to travel 35 miles one way. After church we decided to go shopping.

Before leaving I gathered all of our SD cards and figured out how many pictures each one would hold and how much video time. We decided that 10 hours of video should be enough (16 GB card) and we have several smaller cards to use for digital pictures. We purchased a Vivitar HD 565-DVR camera in September and it is the size of a small digital camera (DH plans on wearing it on his belt). I have used it at school and it so nice and compact.

What a trip :cool1: we came back with two videos, white t-shirts for DS, 2 christmas presents, and our travel size toothpaste and hairspray. Oh yeah and more t-shirt transers because I messed up two of my sheets :confused3

I was going to print out my transfers tonight but DD and grandkids are here so I will wait and do them tomorrow after work.

DD's friend who is going to WDW at the end of the week will be coming over Tuesday so we can make sure she has all of her documents, ME, tickets, etc. ready. She also wants me to help her do some t-shirts for her trip. I have Tuesday off    so I will finish up cleaning the house before my mom gets here too.

This week should go fast with getting our shirts done, helping DF, mom coming to visit, and DH having to go out of town one day for work.

I will try and get a picture of mom and I so you can meet her too. We look alot a like.

Oh yeah almost forgot will be reading the boards on Tuesday for all of the MVMCP reports. I am so excited that it is getting closer and that we will finally be getting some information.:cloud9:

GOT DOCUMENTS! WILL TRAVEL!

HAPPY 23 DAYS!!!!!

I feel like this today!   Is it weird to compare your mood of the day with the ever cute dancing banana?

I got my documents too. I had to hide them from the kids. They are so upset they're not going. I saw the new WDW promo and asked my husband, "Whatta ya think?" He laughed. What does that mean? :confused3

I had an awful dream last night. My husband, kids, and I were in Disney and our flight got in late and we missed going to MK and the next day they were sleeping right through our EP day and our ADR for Coral Reef. :scared1: Am I officially crazy? :lmao: Is this what happens when you are an OCD WDW planner? AUGHHHHHH!

pssstttt....tomorrow is my 40th bday! :cake:

Have a good day! :santa: :santa: :santa: :santa:

Nooooooooo bad dreams - only good ones :hippie:

Each night as I am going to sleep I run each days hopeful schedule through my mind. I know it won't go as planned but we can always plan to our hearts desires.

DH and I have been discussing changing some of our plans and figure that we will play it by ear. We have certain parks and events planned for each day and most of those won't change. It will depend on what we can get done each day.:rolleyes1

I have spent the last 3 hours printing out and ironing transfers for 4 shirts. First the printer wouldn't print for me - had to fix that

Started laying out the designs on the shirts and of course I have to measure the sides and how far from the top they are and that took awhile for each shirt.

Did great putting the MVMCP designs on the back of the shirts. Went to put a design on the front of the shirt. Laid it out, got DH opinion on if it was straight and then ironed it. Took over to cool off and the design fell off.

Here it comes the funny part :rotfl2: I did not peel off the paper so when I ironed it - I ironed it to the paper and not the shirt. :rotfl2:

While I was ironing I had decided I would rather have a border around it - so guess I get to add the border before printing another set.

So then I do our anniversary shirts. Doing great got the backs done and finished one complete shirt with designs on front and back. Here we go again - :rotfl2: while ironing the little design on the front, the back gets hot and the transfer comes off onto the towel. Opps there goes that design. So I spend the next 30 minutes getting the back hot and ripping/peeling off the transfer. :rotfl2: I believe that I will be able to iron a new transfer over the spot so we shouldn't be able to see it.

So after those 3 hours and the mistakes I decide that I better wait and finish tomorrow. :dance3:

DF is coming over tomorrow so I can help her with her t-shirts - hmmmmm should I tell about my evening or just go along like I know exactly what I am doing.

I will post pictures after I finish them tomorrow (hopefully).

Can't wait to read what the disers have to say about the MVMCP from tonight.

:santa: :santa: :santa: :santa: :santa: :santa: :santa: :santa: :santa: :santa: :santa: :santa:

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

See, that sounds like exactly what I would do! Except I wouldn't have the patience to do it over, they would be in the garbage. Kudos to you. I can't wait to see the final results. Pictures please!

Off to do the :laundy:

:santa: :santa: :santa: :santa:

I finally got my transfers printed out. I have spent all day trying to get my printer to print. Finally DF who is going to WDW on Thursday brought her priner over. Hopefully I can get my printer to work later in the week - however she left her printer so I can use it this week in need be. I also printed out transfers for her for 8 shirts. Her plan is to iron them at the hotel tomorrow night - she leave early Thursday am.

I will finish ironing my shirts tomorrow night and and post pictures.

Mom comes tomorrow and I think I am ready. House is clean and dishes are done.:cheer2:

Yes, I got the t-shirts done.

These are the front and back of our MVMCP shirts - the front has the picture with the red border.

The gray shirt is our anniversary shirt - both front and back have the same design. The one on the front is smaller. The black shirts are just an extra that I did. I will wear the castle one and DH the Mickey Fireman.

101_2184.jpg

My DF came and got all of her transfers and was headed to the big city. She needs to go to the airport at 3:30 in the morning. Plans of ironing on her transfers when her DSis gets to WDW next week.

Been up since 4:30 this morning - got up and did the Wii Fit before going to work. :woohoo:

Your T-Shirts look AWESOME! I'm going back over to the disign threads and find something for my trip.

Our trips are getting closer and closer. I'm almost scared  Time is flying by. I have my sons 6th bday party on Saturday to plan. I have to make 12 pirate treasure maps and clean the house before Saturday. He is having a Pirates of the Caribbean party. I'm so proud of him. And Thanksgiving to plan and shop for. Which for only those that know me, I am not a cook. So I'm kind of freaking :scared1: After all of that is over I can breathe and pack for DISNEY! :cloud9:

:santa: :santa: :santa: :santa:

Only 32 days !!!!! We'll be there Dec 3 - Dec 7 also. I am so excited. My husband and I are celebrating our 40th birthdays and leaving the kids at home. Woo Hoo !!!!!

I just realized you are from Chicago. When we leave on the 7th we will be flying into Chicago. We have a 2 hour layover there. We are flying United leaving around 11:30 in the am.

We have never been through Chicago's airport - anything we should know?

20 days whoo hoo

Bring a good book and a full bottle of Purell.

Your PTR is on the second page. :sad2:

Your mom is visiting isn't she? Does she roll her eyes at you and ask why you are on the computer so much? :surfweb: (like mine?) Tell her hi! :wave2:

:santa: :santa: :santa: :santa:

Mom arrived on Wednesday and every time on get on the computer she wants me to look something up for her. Her computer at home is so sloooooooooooooow - she actually takes a book and reads it while she is waiting for the pages to load.:cool1:

Thursday morning mom watched me exercise to the Wii Fit and last night I showed her some of the games. She joined me but we did forget to make sure that there was enough space around us and I ended up slugging her in the arm at my turn to bat. :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

She is at DD tonight and will be back over here tomorrow. I will be able to get up and exercise tomorrow morning. I wasn't able to today I felt like I didn't have much energy.

Last week we were told that we are going to have to cover the 0-3 childcare class after doing our classes during the last two weeks of November. Well yesterday - Thursday - we were told that the whole program 13 different centers will be closing down the Wednesday before Thanksgiving with no pay. Our question was if we would still get our vacation pay. No one seems to know. So today lots of discussion on what the offical letter that we are getting next week is really going to say. On December 1st we are to start a new grant year - so we are hoping that we all still have jobs. Thing is it seems that they have used some of the upcoming grant money to pay for the deficit that they had incurred and we were also told that there would be 5 additional days next year that we will have off without pay.

All we can do is wait for the letter.

My DF arrived in WDW on Thursday at 4:30 pm she is staying at the All Stars Music and said she it took 2 hours from the airport to the resort. She was excited about finally getting there and was heading down to DTD for dinner and to look around.

Yesterday I found the 365live radion station on the net and have been listening to Disney. It has been great listening to Disney music while writing progress reports and it has help to tune out some of the "discussion" going around the office.

Oh no, your mom is a "slowsky". :lmao: My mom was too at her old house. That is a test in patience. Fortunately my mom is able to get cable now at her new house. :rotfl:

I have heard stories about TV's and people getting hit playing Wii. We haven't had that problem yet. The most my kids play is bowling and they love to make the people. They have all kinds of characters in there. :)

I'm sorry about your job. Hopefully everything will be okay. My husband actually came home yesterday from work and told me it "doesn't look good". I am so :scared1:. We will be up ****'s creek without a paddle, KWIM?

No fair that your friend gets to go before us! How dare she!

18 Days!!!!! Whoo Hooooooooooooo!!!!!

So sorry about your job. The pre school I worked at closed down. I miss it so much. The pay was low but it was so much fun. I really enjoy it and miss it.
I will be looking for a full time job after the new year. DH was told he will not be getting a raise this year. Here is some pixie dust for you.pixiedust:

Ok got the letter and at this point we are only taking Wednesday before Thanksgiving off without pay. They said that we will still get our holiday pay. Still waiting to hear what they have to say about next year.

I was looking at the December calendar on Disney.com tonight and noticed that they have changed the time from Midnight to 11:00 pm for closing on Saturday, December 6th. I know it's only 1 hour but hey I was looking forward to that hour.

We have changed some of our plans -

Thursday - AK until 1:00ish then go to DTD, then to MVMCCP
Friday - Epcot and run over to DHS for the Obsourne Lights
Saturday - start in DHS for TSM, ToT, RocR, and Great Movie Ride, then head over to AK for parade and finish the evening at MK

Hoping to see a couple of resorts sometime during those 3 days.

I know it's a busy schedule and we know that we might not get to all of it. I feel good just having a schedule of what we want to do.

We have not made any ADR's and do not plan on making any. We will do CS meals and of course DH will have his ice cream bars, and frozen lemonades.

Here's a picture of my DM and DDad having dinner with us before our trip in January. DD thought he was being funny.:rotfl2:

Glad to hear about your job. So far so good. Here is more pixiedust: for you!

15 days!!!!! Can you hardly believe it?   I thought about getting my suitcase out of the basement yesterday. Which reminds me I only have 14 days to work on my DIStags and decor. Yikes.

I was talking to my BFF yesterday about the trip. We are both looking forward to spending 5 long days not worrying about jobs and $$$$.

All for now, I have to go shopping for my sons birthday present. His birthday is tomorrow. He has given me strict orders "NO clothes, only toys!" I think I might wrap up a package of underwear and give that to him first! Mean mommy!

:santa: :santa: :santa: :santa:

So sorry about your job. Hopefully you will find something as fulfilling. Preschool teachers are the best! The ones I have known have always been so sweet, my kids just loved them.

:santa: :santa: :santa: :santa:

:santa:15 yes count them 15 days until we leave:cool1: :cool1:

I have started gathering clothes and setting them aside. Don't have to pack to much since we only need 4 days worth. I need to come home and print out pictures of our last trip of DGD for a scrapbooking project. Our staff is gathering on Thursday evening to make photo collages. I'll post pictures of the project when I am done.

:santa: :santa: :santa: :santa: :santa: :santa:

Yesterday was a loooooooong day. I started with working in the infant/toddler childcare room for most of the day, babysat grandkids after school until their mom got home from work, then headed back to work for a staff scrapbooking project.

We had alot of fun and my photo board was pictures of DGD from our WDW trip last January.

101_2230-1.jpg

I purchased another board so that I can do one for DGS. These will be Christmas presents. DD was just here and really liked the one for DGD.
