Does anyone know if there's a way to announce a birthday in Disney? We are going to Disney in mid-December and our daughter turns 13 during our trip. We want to make it as special as possible for her.

Thanks!

I too am interested in any suggestions. Our daughter will turn 5 during our trip in January..

Thanks for asking the question.. You bet me to it!

If you are talking about them making an announcement in the parks they won't do that.

Most of the restaurants will help you celebrate.

Thanks for the restaurant suggestion. I am really open to any suggestions for making the day extra special and didn't know if Disney did anything extra for birthday people.

Be sure to stop at Guest Relations in the parks. They have a birthday button that she can wear. Sometimes they will get you a magical moment, a free desert, a phone call from Goofy. It is just fun to wear.

You might want to do a search here on the DIS, others have asked this question.

Great ideas. Thanks:earsgirl: Today is my first day on this site so I appreciate the search tip.

Welcome to the DIS. You will find lots of great info and wonderful helpful people here.

Our DD turned 13 during our last trip to Disney. We stopped at Guest Relations in the MK to pick up a birthday button. All day long she was wished Happy Birthday by the CM's... in the restaurants, the rides, the shops. Here's a couple of extra special things that happened. We ate breakfast in the castle and she was given a birthday cupcake and presented a magical moment certificate that all the princesses had signed, and all of the princesses posed for a picture with her. I didn't think she would appreciate the whole princess thing at that "Oh I'm so cool age", but she really did enjoy the attention. Also, we rode Splash Mountain and were in the shop to purchase our ride pictures when the CM noticed her birthday button. The CM gave us our ride pictures free in honor of her birthday.

Thanks Slmjam! That's is really exciting to think something that great might happen. I was a little worried about the "cool" issue to for celebrating at 13 but she is very excited about the chance to go to Disney again and just be a kid princess: I know that even if nothing happens to make the day extra special, just being there on her b-day and celebrating at Mickey's Christmas Party that night will make it an extra special day.

I also heard that there was a birthday hat you can get to wear around the park so I think we might do that also to have her pictures taking with the characters.
