My wife and I just had our 10th wedding anniversary on Oct. 14. Our last time to Disney was our honeymoon. Now we are going to Disney in June to celebrate our 10th anniversary, and take the kids that have seemed to pop up in the last 10 years. The only problem is we are booked for June because we wanted to wait for the kids to be out of school.

So I would like to celebrate our 10th in Disney in June but is it too late? Like if I mentioned our anniversary in a restaurant to get something special for my wife is that cheating the system?

I know at CRT they will give you commerative champagne flutes for an anniversary. Can I do this? Or are we too late?

Anyone else ever have this problem? :confused3

I don't think it is cheating. You are still celebrating the annv just a little later. Our annv is this Dec and we are going to celebrate at WDW in January. Congratulations and have fun!

It is not cheating. Cheating is when you go the WDW with someone other than your spouse.

We celebrated the week of our 10th anniversary and got jack! Apparently I should've gone to CRT- what a nice gift. I take that back, we got a free $13 dessert at Shula's. Other than that, everyone just said "Congrats". I think if you phrase it "we are celebrating our 10th anniversary on this trip" rather than "it's our anniversary" implying that it's that day, I think it's ethically okay. You're not lying- you are celebrating your anniversary on this trip after all! Good luck, I hope you guys fare better than we did!

That's funny!! 'Cause the instance I got done reading your post I saw the little frowns and said to myself, "Why are they frowning?". Then I scrolled down and saw your next post!!

Lot of people do this for birthdays anniversaries, etc... I wouldnt say its cheating, no one checks dates, however personally, I would feel quite silly celebrating something months off from the actual event, and then telling people about it.

I wouldnt even let DS celebrate is 7th birthday in WDW 2 days after the actual date because it just seemed weird for all of us. But if you feel ok doing it, then go for it. Happy Anniversary!

BTW, we just recently celebrated our 10th (7/22) in WDW too, just like our honeymoon! :)
