Celeb Prison sentences.

So we all know Paris Hilton served time in jail this past spring...


Well, now Lindsay Lohan will be serving ONE, yes ONE, day in prison, after being found guilty for TWO of SEVEN misdemeanor charges (including 2 D.U.I's & posession of cocaine)

What a terrible punishment...I bet she'll really learn a lession and NEVER EVER do it again -cough-

And Paris' best pal Nicole Richie who was recently sentenced to four days in prison after being charged for (surprise, surprise) D.U.I, spent EIGHTY MINUTES in prison. She's on probation and if she violates that could spend "one year" in prison (which would probably be reduced to 90 minutes? maybe 2 hours if she does something REALLY bad)

Its annoying. If it was a regular person, they'd get more than one day. Her fame should have nothing to do with her jail time..

^ this is stupid.just cause their celeb's doesnt mean their anything special. well techincally it does.. but when i think of a celeb i think of people who work HARD and enjoy what they do and do it when ther not stoned/drunk.. idk. i think they're setting bad examples for everyone.

if they get like NO punishment for that then i think none of us should, its not fair.

plus, imho i think none of the celebs that have been caught with drugs or whatever have an actual talent.

and it doesnt seem like their trying real hard to hide it... they just want attention.

Oh yeah,just cause they were in a movie makes them oh so special.
I mean come on!

Just cause they spend a whole 80 minutes in jail doesn't mean they're not going to do it again.
Chances are they'll go back out and do it again.
And when they do,they're just gonna get another slap on the wrist and be told "Don't do it again!"

Fame should not influence the law.
But it does,and that's what pisses me off.

I agree. They do the crime, they should do the same amount of time as the rest of America.


Just like Michael Vick with the dogfighting. He deserves more than I heard he's probally going to get which is 5 years. Heck, he should be in prison the rest of his freaking life for what he did! He has none of my sympathy for being in there. If I had my way, he'd be put on death row.

it annoys me sooooo much!!!!! but i think that they should make a rule even if LINDSEY wants to come in ur club, DONT LET HER IN! i mean UNDERAGE DRINKING! there should be a rule eeven if ur famous u cant drink underage!! i will rant some more after i eat. i am just so mad and disgusted with everything that happens to famous people!

I think it is terrible she only get's a day.

She could have killed someone on the road.
I could care less if she is a celeb or a millionare or has no money. But anyone who drinks and drives and has possesion of cocaine should go to jail.

i doubt that any of the inmates really want stuck up girls getting special treatment for doing exactly, or worse than they.

And it's totally not fair that celebs get off easy. They are the same species as the average person. But if the average person get's caught with cocaine and get's charged with DUIs, they get hard time. If I was the judge, I'd sentence her for several months, if not a year, in jail. Then she'll really learn her lesson.

Celebs should get more punishment for their mistakes than just a slap on the wrist or a 15 minute time-out in jail.

many of people caught with cocaine get about 5+ years in jail time plus probation periods stretching to 2+ years, and mandatory Rehab. Although Lindsay Lohan was in Rehab for a short period of time, it seems like its the thing to do with all the celebrities. [Paris, Britney, Lindsay, Nicole] They got the shortest terms of jail because the judges are possibly afraid of the Celebrities PR detailing that the judge was horrifying, or unfair..etc. just to gain their respect as a celebrity back. Also the cleanest Celebrity i've heard of lately who is still on the scene is Hilary Duff [shes always a disney child, and i'll respect her forever]

Give them the right amount of time for their crime. Don't make an example out of them or give them less time....just give them the sentance. It's the law it shouldn't be altered because you're famous.
