What I had heard was that it was at WDW, and it damaged one of the stretch paintings and marred the wallpaper. However, I haven't been able to find any verification of it happening.
There is a real story about someting falling in WDW. There used to be two River boats on the Rivers of America. When the Admiral Joe Falor was in dry dock they raised it with a crane. They dropped it and the hull was damaged badly.
The took some parts and sent them to TDL for their boat and they burried the rest of the boat somewhere on property.
This was reported as a "I heard that" 5 days ago. If this happened wouldn't there be hundreds of trip reports mentioning this by people actually who were in MK since then?
Which is the reason why I assumed it was untrue. Although it is certainly possible that if it happened, Disney would just close the one stretch room that was damaged and route everyone through the other one.
We rode HM Saturday night, and were in the stretching room closest to the entrance. However we only rode it once, and I would not expect to see both rooms open at the same time anyway.
The ride did stop at least 4 times while we were on it, with 2 stops being rather lengthy. We don't know why, and can't imgine it had anything to do with a stretching room one way or another.
Yes, I understand about the ECVs. But two stops were much longer than that. However it could have been most anything, esp since the system has such sensitive triggers now if a guest tries to exit the doombuggy prematurely for example. Could have just been a malfunction too.
