Parent company Cedar Fair announced today that Cedar Point, Knott's Berry Farm, Kings Island, and Canada's Wonderland will all be getting the same new attraction for 2011.

Numerous other parks in the chain have not made their capitol announcements for 2011 yet....

The new ride will be called Windseeker.....

A high swing! Cool I like the swing! Altough it looks like it would be a very slow loading ride.

 Looks like fun... I might even ride that.. My motion sickness is so bad now that i can't ride very many of the rides there anymore and I won't ride the big coasters since I got my neck fixed, call me crazy!:rotfl2:

Ah! I won't be riding that. I get freaked out by the ones low to the ground.

Not. A. Chance. :sad2:

Even though at Cedar Point the view of the islands would be amazing from up there, I'll pass.

They have something like that in Vegas on top of the Stratosphere. I'm not sure how fast the other one is, but the one in Vegas makes you feel like you are on Mission:Space, and you ate looking straight down all the way to the ground.

It's exhilarating!

I love Cedar Point :lovestruc but since I can't do anything that spins and don't like heights, I guess I won't be doing that one. The clip even made me dizzy! :)
Thanks for posting! My kids will like it!

am I the only one hoping the line que is covered?

Windseeker: flinging your vomit farther than ever before :crazy2: :crazy2:

There is one like it in Orlando, call Starflyer...

I love the low to the ground swing rides...Starflyer...:scared1: me...

Lets just say, at those heights, the chairs swing a lot, and its VERY windy...I could not wait to get down...

Not sure how I feel about this one yet

Now that was my first thought too! :lmao: And, I have been on a swing ride before with someone who puked. Luckily I was in front. ;)

Interesting Canada's wonderland is getting that as it already has the drop zone which is a bigger drop than Tower of Terror and the swing ride. But I'd do it in a heart beat.

DS 12 and I rode a similar ride in Europe last summer. The spinning wasn't much faster than a conventional lower swing ride. The ride moves up and down the tower pretty quickly so the loading rate was about the same as the conventional swing ride. However, the height was :scared1:.

The ride operators were very strict about having absolutely no purses or bags on ride, no slip on shoes, and nothing in your pockets. The ride operator made me take the park map out of the pocket of my shorts. Apparently a falling trail map from 300 feet with spin on it is quite the lethal object.
