Cedar Point and Sandusky in general

We'll be at Cedar Point two days this week. My function is to ride roller coasters with my sister, especially Siren's Curse, as many times as possible. My husband is forbidden to ride by his doctors, and hers doesn't like coasters, so their function is to hold our purses and hats. We all have Fast Lane Plus. I'm Pooh size, so I plan to take full advantage of the test seats outside each line, but I was wondering - do the rides at CP all have chicken exits at the loading dock, like WDW rides do, so we could stand in line together and then exit if any or all of us aren't riding? I'm not especially fond of certain types of thrill rides, and I told my sister that I reserve the right to refuse to ride. BTW I've watched all the POV videos on the CP website.

Next question - we're talking about eating at Berardi's, Dianna's and/or Old Dutch Tavern. How fancy are they? Could we go in park clothes, or do we need to change first? Any recommendations for breakfasts or dinners?

:thanks:

What's the alternative to a chicken exit? Walk directly through the coaster to the unload platform.
Does security at some parks force guests to ride? I can't figures out how to add a smile thing

In general, you can walk through the train to the exit. There are a few exceptions---Millennium Force and TT2 both have separate load/unload stations, but it is still possible to get off the platform without riding.

I haven't been to any of those, but it's going to be mid- to upper-80s in town this week. It's a little cooler on Point, but not that much. You are probably going to want to rinse off either way.

Thanks! I appreciate the practical advice - I guess we'll go from park to change into the next day's clothes, then to dinner!

(You are reminding me that I've only gone twice this year, and L hasn't been yet at all...)

Been a number of years since we were last at Cedar Point. I don't recall how the ride exits are setup, but I doubt there would any issue if someone decided not to ride at the last minute. None of the restaurants on the property had any sort of dress code, I can't imagine you would need to dress up to eat there. Everything as I recall was very casual. But even years ago, Cedar Point was way more casual than Disney.

Many people go to Cedar Point as a day trip, so for them changing into something else other than their park clothes to eat on the way home wouldn't be practical. Likely the only restriction would be if you had been swimming, you can't wear a swimsuit to the restaurant. Other nearby restaurants such as those along Rt. 250 mostly cater to people going to or leaving from Cedar Point and their menus will all be casual dining. I doubt you would be over/under-dressed regardless of what you wore to the park.

It's been amazingly smooth---both in terms of operaitons and in terms of the ride experience. Vekoma has completely transformed themselves as a company, from the Flying Dutchman/Hang-n-Bang era (ouch!) to Guardians and now Sirens.
