Hi there...were less than 3 wks away from our vacation :Pinkbounc :cheer2: :Pinkbounc and I have a lingering thought. :rolleyes: We have 2 nites booked AKL concierge, 7 nite dreammaker at Port Orleans (booked through CAA - don't know why I did that - just saw the cdn @ par advertised through them and transferred my room only booking to them not realizing I could just add the code) and 1 nite Poly concierge at the end. I still have to buy one day park tickets for the day at AK. My question...has anyone compared the Cdn @ par pkg vs the MYW pkg? It would be so nice to just tack on another day of tickets for half the price it's going to cost me (295.00 including taxes for the 5 of us for one day). I knew that it would be 280 originally, but now that I know the option of tacking on extra days thru MYW is there, it keeps creeping into my mind. I'm hesitant to make changes because we're so close to our leave date and I may even have to pay the $200 penalty on the pkg because we're less than 45 days. But I read somewhere that under some conditions the penalty will be excused? Anyone know anything about the comparable prices between Cdn @ par & MYW and the conditions where the penalty will be excused? Thanks so much for any input. :flower1:

Because of the length of your stay, it may not be a bad idea to look into switching your package to the MYW, since the ticket prices decrease with the length of your stay.
I seem to recall that they are allowing people with DreamMaker packages to upgrade this month, without penalty. I don't think they'd give you a discount if the package worked out cheaper, but it may allow you to upgrade, or include tickets for the extra days of your stay without costing much - if anything!

Definately call them and look into it!

I would definitely look into it. If you don't have to pay penalities, I think there is some money to be saved there.

I did the calculations for both MYW and the Canadian at Par.

Package Purchased:

POFQ - 5N/6D - 3 Adults (Feb 9-14)

Cost:
MYW = $1687.89
Canadian at Par = $1318.00

All prices are quoted in U.S. Dollars.

The MYW package does seem to be a fairly good deal if you add the Dining, because when I added what I expected to spend on Food, it came out just about the same.

puckerup:

I called CAA and asked for a quote on our trip. Right now we have dreammaker pkg, 7 nites, 2 rooms, port orleans, 2 adults 3 children (12,9,9).
Cost $2811. US including taxes.

I asked for a quote on the same thing but with 10 day MYW, (but still only 7 nites at Port Orleans w 2 rooms). Cost 3483.72 US!!!

Seems like the cdn @ par is the best deal. We really only need one more day of tickets which will cost us about 300., bringing it to 3111. I'm not sure it would be worth it to spend the extra 350+ just to be able to add on a dining plan and then the total cost would be $4905. So about 2100 for 10 days of meals. It's a tough call, but I think I'll stay with what I've got. Sounds complicated to me and for the money I'd save (if any) is just not worth it. Altho the convenience of the dining plan was attractive.
