Hi folks

For previous visits, I've flown from Belfast with Easyjet which uses Terminal 3 @ CDG - which is small and very easy to manouvre.

As the 1 flight Easyjet had on our departure date in December didn't get to Paris until 9:30pm (very unsuitable), we travelled with Flybe (via Cardiff) instead, it landed at a much better time (before midday) in Terminal 1. We had only hand luggage as we were only going as a 2 night/3 day surprise for my DD's b/day so finding our way round wasn't too bad - I suppose ;)

For our trip this June we will be flying the new Aerlingus route (again because of suitable times) but my question is this ... how easy is it to find the baggage carousels in Terminal 1 - because from what I remember, the place is absolutely huge, with many floors and a multitude of escalators, making me glad we only had hand luggage last time!

I'm 1/2 tempted to do that again so as to avoid traipsing round Terminal 1 but - this isn't practical, we are going for 6 days ... and I'm intending to bring home some nice French wines etc when shopping @ Val D'Europe

Anyone familiar with Terminal 1, collecting luggage and finding the right exit for the Disney bus - or how to get to the RER? Info greatly appreciated!

T1 does seem huge and you do go up lots of ramps/walkways etc. However, DD and I have never had any problems in locating our luggage and it's quite well signposted.

From what I recall (and its been a while since I last did it) when you get off the long "up" escalator there are screens in front of you which lists the various flights and the carousel your luggage is being sent to - you then follow the signs.

When you have collected your luggage and reach the exit you then need to head for the lifts to go to the departures level and you will see signs for the VEA shuttle - you have to cross the road and wait.

Hi,

The baggage carousels are very easy to find at T1, - they are just to the right of the exits.

I have always flown into T1, first time (and even now) I just follow everyone else - as they are heading out to the exits - same as me :rotfl: .

Just look for the baggage claim signs - honestly, you'll find it no problem.

I used the Aer Lingus Belfast to Paris route in April and had no problems in Terminal 1 as someone else has said the carousels are after the long escalator and we had no problems collecting our luggage as it was on the carousel when we got to it. We did have trouble locating the VEA though as the lift beside the exit was being repaired and we had to find another lift but it was all signposted. I plan on using Aer Lingus for our outward flight for our November trip as the flight time is so good.
