I did. It's a beautiful set, but not something we are personally interested in. I love HP, but I'm not the lego nut in the house.

No joke, though...we have already spent around $2500 on Lego since March. We dropped $700 on just the Super Mario Lego series. $400 for the Lamborghini Sian, $120 on the Mickey and Minnie set, the Mandolorian sets, etc. It never ends in this house.
My parents and myself are sharing the cost of the Mario Legos for my youngest.

They are probably the coolest Legos ever. SO much fun to play with. We have the full collection.
I can't wait to give them to him. Less than a month until his birthday!
I just want to say that while a lot of us disagree, we have been pretty kind to each other. Great job everyone!!!!

Person who had a spinal inflammation being released from hospital today. Fortunately not seriously ill.

- May be totally unrelated.
- May be a reaction to the vaccine- it happens when infected with virus and other well tolerated vaccines.
- Study expected to resume as usual I read. In India they never even stopped it.

The Oxford Study was stopped once before when someone reported neurological problems. Turned out to be unrelated development of MS.

There are a number of trial locations. Some are just getting under way.

Their US trial just began, but their international trial started long enough ago that almost all the participants have been dosed twice.

Where are you reading that (bolded)?

Personal note: Be wary of taking drugs or vaccines developed (not the same as saying manufactured) in India.

Curious (since there was a discussion previously about why certain people don’t get flu shots), how many would take this AZN/Oxford vaccine if it was intended as an annual 2-dose routine?

I would gladly take it today.

I would will take it. I signed up for the trial but was not chosen.

Pfizer reiterated today that they will have enough data by Oct 31.

Incredible. So people can get the shot in November potentially. My in laws won't leave their cabin until they get the shot (well, they leave MINIMALLY), won't travel or anything like that, get grocery curb side delivery, etc.

Nope. Frontline heathcare workers might get a shot this fall or winter assuming the FDA authorizes its emergency use. The rest of the population won't be able to get one until next summer. It takes time to produce these vaccines and distribute them. The Medcram video I posted earlier in this thread is still relevant.

And both of the possible vaccines require two shots.

I'm not doubting that it will take longer than people think, but isn't Project Warp Speed about producing the vaccine candidates concurrent with the testing so it's ready to go if approved?

There is nothing wrong doing some of the non-medical things letting setting up for manufacture or distribution in parallel. However, some things about the length of normal trials for phase 3 can't be compressed. If it normally takes 6-9-12 months to test a large enough volunteer population for LONG TERM side effects, not sure how you can safely shorten that. No one has yet come up with a treatment or cure for covid, but somehow those working to develop a vaccine has all stumbled on the right formula on their first try?
