So test at 48 and again at 24h. If the activities are very expensive it might be worth the small cost of an extra antigen test to know at 48. If you test negative at 48, chances are exceptionally good that you will also test negative at 24 unless you work in a high-risk occupation.It actually does. In theory, if the USA accepts PCR tests at day 5, those of us on week-long trips could use the same test to return to Canada, so in that case, there wouldn't technically be any increase in volume.
Almost all of these tests are rapid test, done at a pharmacy here or in the US. Only the Canada return test needs to be a molecular test, and not even all of those need a lab to process (IDNow). As long as pharmacies both sides have sufficient stock of antigen tests, it should not be an issue at all.
For unvaccinated. ...and unvaccinated can't even get on a plane now.
It's a big deal for me since I won't have a car, to have to get tested 5 days in and 3 days before I leave. I'm there for 10 days. Hope they don't make the change before Dec 9.
