Do you have those songs that just get you? That listening to them just drags out all the emotions you're feeling (or even emotions you didn't think you were feeling)?

I made myself a mix of those songs, just large enough to fit on a blank cd. What fills your mix for your heart?

this is mine. I let one of my friends listen to it and they scoffed at the fact that it's not as obscure as the music I listen to daily. Whatever.

noel by all time low

the party scene by all time low
skeleton key by margot & the nuclear so and so's

I didnt make a cd of them, but one song that really touches me is "Everything" by Lifehouse. Especially when you see the skit that goes along with it.

The songs that really get to me are the ones I can relate to different people/situations of my life. Songs like Girls by the Beastie Boys, because that was the song that two of my best guy friends sang really loud and out of tune when they were drunk. Or Patience by Guns N' Roses, because he sang that to her before he left. However, the entire album of Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts CLub Band generally gets to me sometimes. It was the first CD I ever listened to all the way through. Special memories, y'know?

I've given this kind of thing a lot of thought. In fact, I've actually made several CDs that I consider my life's personal soundtrack. The main one (and most current) would probably be:

1: To Be With You - David Archuleta (This song describes that I would do anything, just to be with her. It's a song that I'm expected to have on a CD like this.)
2: Gotta Be Somebody - Nickelback (Sometimes I feel as though I'll be alone forever. This song kind of gives me hope? It's hard to explain.)
3: I Found it in You - Lee Ann Womack (This song is about finding happiness in another person. It's the best feeling in the world.)
4: Realize - Colbie Caillat (If you just realized, that would be perfect for each other...Oh, so true.)
5: I Can Only Imagine - Mercy Me (The best dreams I have are the dreams where I am with God forever. It's amazing. And so beautiful.)
6: Anyway - Martina McBride (I like to think of this as "my" song. Things get tough, but I do it anyway.)
7: Lucky - Jason Mraz & Colbie Caillat (It's great to be in love with your best friend, isn't it?)
8: Breakaway - Kelly Clarkson (Somtimes, we all need a change.)
9: This Is Me You're Talking To - Trisha Yearwood (The soundtrack of my summer. This song describes how me and an old friend of mine are...It's so painfully real.)
10: Time of My Life - David Cook (These days, I just have the time of my life. I love life.)
11: Missing You - John Waite & Alison Krauss (I tell everyone else that I'm not missing you, oh, but I definitely am.)
12: Almost Lover - A Fine Frenzy (Some people are so close to you that they are like lovers. When they leave, it's impossible to heal, or so it feels like.)
13: Footprints in the Sand - Leona Lewis (My friends would always be there for me, and helping along the way.)
