CD help needed

So I was listening to one of my favorite cd's in the car the other day, and it starts skipping on one of the songs. Take the cd out, clean it, put it back in,no improvement, as a matter of fact it sounds worse!!! So now what do I do?

Try cleaning the player itself. I have a special cleaner CD - it has a little brush embedded in the disc. I think it cost about $10 - just put it in, play for about 20 seconds, and it's done. If that doesn't work, it may be that the player is going.
