Hi! I just finished making our CDs and would like to dress them up with CD covers (the ones that go on the CD itself, not in the plastic case). I know I have seen some of this thread but have no idea where!! (okay, I admit it - I start looking at all the great designs and jump from one thread to the next and never remember where I am !! :rotfl2:)
First, does anyone here still make these? I need a pretty simple design (I think - that's a non-DISigner talking!!). Maybe a picture of the DCL Magic with the dates August 15 - 22, 2009 and Cruise music from the Mulvey Family...
Second, how do you attach it to the CD without ruining the CD? Is there a special paper? special glue??? Is there a thread out there that has already explained directions??
Thanks for your help!!

For the CD labels...you will have to buy CD labels and use the directions for printing that come with them. Each one is different. You should be able to get them at any office supply store.

I made a CD Cover just in case you haven't purchased the plastic ones yet. These are great because they take up less space in your suitcases and cost less than buying the plastic ones if you make a cover for the CD Case.

Here is how you make the CD Cover:
Open up a word document. Go to "file" then "page setup" then set all of the margins to .3. Then copy and paste your image into the word document.

Next, go to "format" then "picture" in the drop down menu. Click on the "size" tab and set the height to 9.75 and hit your tab button (this will automatically correct the width for you). Then do a trial print, cut the cover, use double sided tape to adhere both sides together and slip a CD into the cover. If you are happy with how it fits...print all of your covers. If it isn't the correct size...go back to the beginning of this paragraph and change the 9.75 size up or down depending on if you need it bigger or smaller.

Glad that you liked them! Hope it is a "Magical" trip! Make sure you print the CD Cover on cardstock paper.

Also, just in case you wanted to make something fun to leave your family...here are a few sucker wrappers that I made.

DCLSuckerCoverBlank.jpg

DCLSuckerCover2.jpg

For this one...trim around the outside of the picture then punch a hole where it is marked on the image. Next fold on the three lines, then slide a sucker into the hole, wrap the wrapper around the sucker and secure with double sided tape.

For this one...there are two slits on the middle right side. Cut the slits and slide the stem of a sucker through.
