CCVC studio availability

Im seeing them open right now for the week of May 27th.

Im sure the BRV owners would not appreciate this but I think CCV owners who cant book a studio within 48 hours of their 11th month window should be allowed to book at BRV at 11 months. Disney knowingly "oversold" a very small property.

You are correct. Now a studio is available for 5/27. It wasn’t this morning. Very strange.

I would hate to see DVC go down that path (not that I think they ever would). BRV and CCV are separate resorts just like BCV and BWV are separate resorts. There’s no way that the home resort advantage for BRV owners should be circumvented at 11 months because an owner at another resort could not get what they want at their own home resort.

Agreed. I just feel like CCV owners were done a disservice more than any other property.

Got it. But a family of 2 with 500 points would still most likely only book a studio to extend out their trip. A 1BR in that case is a luxury and the choice becomes a value proposition. But i get what you are saying...there is no backup option with less points. What I am gathering is it seems like many buyers fall into the trap set by Disney... "look, you can travel during low season, and get 5 nights for only x points". Reality is that there are many factors involved to get what you want, most of which require planning, banking, and borrowing.

500 points would get you a month in a studio. That is one long vacation.

The statement "oversold" referring to the points allotted to cabins that are ultimately not being used for the cabins?

Also, can someone clarify the walking statement? Essentially, once the walking period is passed, and they walk into a new day, the previous time frame would open up?

Ahem...walking! {{cough}} {{cough}}
Walking wouldn't explain this. It was just a cancellation of that day. Walking presents itself as the day immediately before the 11 month date becoming available shortly after the window opens up, not the 11 month date randomly opening. There was no place for the person to walk since they can't move their check in date ahead. I was on at 8:06 and it did show available for me. I will say as I refresh the availability page (happens at other resorts too) it will show unavailable but I refresh then it shows open then refresh again shows unavailable. It is likely people just clicking through the process (temporarily removing the room) then deciding not to rent that date. May has been quite slow for CCV with availability sticking around sometimes for days after the window opens (though as I type this 5/27 is unavailable).

I will try that tomorrow. I check the studio availability almost every day.

Same here and my biggest take away this month is May has been slow for CCV (not against other DVC properties). Less walking occurring too.

 And here I wrote June 28 on all of my checks today.

I just checked. The studio is gone for today, but is available for 5/24-5/26. I suspect people are walking studios. Why else would a middle of the week day be gone while the rest of the week is available?

And yes, May has been more available studio wise than previous months.

Why start walking now? My guess would be the 4th of July.

Yeah my guess is the 4th, walk a month, or people walking for the weeks right after school gets out too.

I think your right on both, Would have thought Disney would put a limit on the amount of days you could walk.

Legally they can't. Closest they could come is 1 month later and then it couldn't be just one resort as it stands, it would have to be all of them.

Sorry, no. They are two separate resorts, not related in any way other than both located near each other. No different than BCV and BWV. Overselling is not possible because of Florida Timeshare Regulations. It's just that they also built a bunch of high point cabins as part of the resort.
