I tried searching but couldn't find the answer ...

Is the hot tub in the cabin actually hot (104 degrees)? Any idea about the maintenance? I assume the tubs at the resorts received daily testing but what about the cabin tubs?

I am interested in this too.

Someone said there hot tub didn't work at first and after repairs it took a few hours to get to the hot temperature. She didn't say if it was 104 degrees. I highly doubt it since it is on Disney property. I am beginning to think they don't know what a hot tub really should be set at. They make it kid friendly.

We'll be there in a few weeks, checking the hot tub will be one of the first things I do and I will be all over management if it does not work like a hot tub. I fully expect it to be the temp of the hot tubs at the pools, which for some reason I though was 104.

I would guess that there is a chemical feeder on each tub and that they are checked weekly. The temp may be cooler than expected due to liability issues. PBV doesn't have hot tubs, they are cold dipping tubs, maybe because of maintenance and liability issues.

We're there in February. I'm looking forward to your report.

When we book a cabin in the Smokies, the hot tubs are refreshed and cleaned between renters. There’s some sort of cleaner ( ionic maybe) that works when we have the cabin. I have never had any health issues in those cabins, and neither has any guest of ours.

We have a cabin at CC in December.

We stayed at the CCV cabin in September and yes the Hot Tub was hot and stayed around 104 our entire stay with no issues.

It was great for us but not for our kids. We let them dip their feet in and they still thought that was cool but I wish we could have changed the temperature!

No option on the temp? That's weird

That is interesting. Maybe that is what they do at CC. We had a 3 night stay in September and I don't think it was cleaned during our stay as we left the cabin pretty much just for meals.

Another three night stay coming in December. I will try to remember to ask someone how they are cleaned.
