CCTV at WDW Rides

I am wondering whether or not WDW has closed circuit TV within their rides in the event of an accident or perhaps detecting sometime they perceive as either being malicious, suspicious or just unusual activity in the rides normal operations that they can visualize and proactively action on as a preventive measure

Yes and in all of the cue lines and in the common spaces in the parks. They are one of Pelco's largest customers.

As Mike noted, yes they certainly do have monitoring cameras through out the attractions and around the parks. In the dark rides especially they use infra-red cameras so as not to disturb the show lighting.

Basically a guest should assume that they are being observed anytime/anywhere while at WDW.

If you've ever been on a dark ride and herd an announcement made about flash photos chances are they saw someone take a picture with one or more than one. Plus they have them there so that if guest exits a ride somewhere they shouldn't they can locate them.

The infrared cameras for me was, on one ride, a real pain. I was riding on Dinosaur. My sony handycam has a night vision mode. Apparently it uses an infrared light that no one else can see, lets you take great night vision video and COMPLETELY shows up on the night vision camera Disney uses they yelled at me, stopped the ride, and no one else knew what they were talking about .. sigh.. oh well never did that again.
