CC's Whitehall in Chicago?

Hi gang!

I was wondering if any of my fellow DVCers have ever stayed at the Whitehall in Chicago (it's the Concierge Collection hotel there). Looking for some feedback, thoughts, observations, opinions, etc... on it!

Being from Chicago, have not personally stayed a night there. However, have been in it many times for meetings, events, and have seen many rooms. It is a very good hotel with good rooms and excellent services. It is located in what is called Chicago's near north or Magnificient Mile area which is north of the Loop. If you are coming to Chicago on business and have to go to the Loop then it is not ideally located in comparison to many loop oriented hotels although still within easy and quick taxi distance. If you are coming to hit Chicago's premier shopping and nightlife area then you are right in the middle of it at the Whitehall.

I have stayed there and loved it. It is only 1/2 a block from the John Hancock center and Water Tower Place. They have a complimentary driver who will take you anywhere around the loop. You would need to take a cab or bus back but we found it very convenient. The hotel is part of the Small Luxery Hotels of the world. This group represnets several upscale hotels (castles, in Europe, etc). You can even rent a Fijian Island for a week. Anyway, getting back on track, the hotel is top notch with some historical charm. The rooms are different sizes so you don't always know what you will get. But, you can be rest assured, you will have a quality room and be treated in the finest matter. For shopping locations on the Magnificent Mile (Michigan Avenue), you can't beat it. It is superb!

I ahve only driven by it and it looks very charming..... the location cant be beat.... as the others have said it is right near Michigan Ave.......

If hubby and I ever have another night away from the girls we may just try it out!
