CCI walk/shuttle questions

I just googled how close is CCI to DL and the answer was 7 minutes (1.8 miles). I don't know what universe someone can walk 1.8 miles in 7 minutes so I doubt that answer. Does anyone have any feedback about how the walk is, or if it is too far (and 1.8 miles is not too far, just takes longer than 7 minutes) how often the shuttle leaves?

The CCI is a little over half a mile from your room to the DLR Esplanade. It usually takes us 8 minutes at a good pace. Have had to walk it twice when we missed the bus.

We have stayed there before and the walk really wasn't bad. I just checked it using mapquest and it's very strange. They show going all the way down past the actual entrance to the next major street and wrapping around. You would actually only walk to the area between Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure which is shown as a little white path on the map. I'm not sure the distance, but it's way shorter than that!

WOW! I had no idea that CCI was more than a mile away from DLR. How did Google have you entering? It is a short walk and very doable.

To answer your question it does take about 7-10 minutes to walk to the DLR entrance to the parks. The Shuttle leaves on the half hours ( :00, :30). The pick up return times are on the quarter hours ( :15, :45).

During my research, I came across info (on a competing site so I don't think I can post it here, but it is easily found on google) that CCI is 2876 feet (.544 of a mile) from the closest room and 3415 feet (.646 of a mile) from the furthest room. Seven minutes is pushing it, but 10 minutes seems reasonable.

The shuttle goes to the park at :00 and :30 and returns to the inn at :15 and :45.

That looks like it is taking you a round about way to the Disneyland Hotel.

I'd give yourself about 15 minutes to walk it at a comfortable pace. At the end of a long day it will seem much farther -- so the shuttle is a nice option at that point.

CCI is about a half mile...like others have mentioned.

My husband and I are tall and walk fast, it only took us about 8 minutes to get to the gates. We never used the shuttle. And we loved CCI!
