Hi Everyone!

I Just return back to the boards to gain some new info about a trip to DL in June 2017. We had our first visit in July 2013. We stayed at CCI and loved it. It is my husband, myself and 16 yr old son. I just noticed the new Hyatt House Anaheim(still in walking distance). Should we take the chance with new Hyatt or stick with what we loved on our first trip at CCI? Any reviews on the Hyatt?

The Hyatt House is getting great reviews, as are the other two new properties, Springhill Suites and Residence Inn on Katella. I would also look at the Hotel Indigo. All right near the Candy Cane Inn.

To me, I prefer a Limited Service Hotel to a old basic Motel.

So any of the 4, nice large room, good free breakfast with decent sitting area, and more. I would only do Candy Cane Inn if the price was a lot less than the other options.

We chose Hyatt house for our trip in February, I'll let you know what we think of it after our trip. We reserved 2 rooms, the price has come down since I booked though so I'm planning on giving them a call to see if we an get the lower rate.

Thank you for the responses. That would be great to have a review. Have a nice trip in February.

We stayed at CCI in November, 2015 and Hyatt House this past week. I liked the Hyatt House much better. I prefer the safety of the HH and the breakfast is better (eggs, sausage, etc. instead of just yogurt and donuts). The Hyatt House is brand new and very modern. No shuttle, but we didn't find the walk bad at all. It took us about 12ish minutes to walk each morning.

If you want a "shuttle"from the Hyatt House, just cross the street to the Subway corner, and catch the OCTA Route 543/43 one stop to the main pedestrian crosswalk, runs more frequently than ART, and cheaper ($4 for a day pass).

I haven't stayed at the Hyatt house yet but I walked by it on my last trip and the empty rooms had the curtains open and the rooms looked very nice and large. It's on my list to stay at now definitely.

I have never stayed at the CCI but also has this dilemma for my trip in November! I ended up choosing Hyatt House. It's nice knowing it's a new (and hopefully clean) hotel, 24/7 Walgreens, free hot breakfast, the rooms look spacious, and it ended up being $330 cheaper for us! I know it's a bit of a further walk but hey, gonna be walking around all day anyway, so what's another few minutes! :)

We decided to return to CCI. We are meeting a few friends. We decided as a group CCI would be the best for everyone. We will be checking out the Walgreens and CVS on the corner. It is nice those are options now to pick up a few supplies if needed.

Where would a get the day pass for this bus?
On the bus, just place $4 in bills and/or coins into the fare box, and the driver will print out one. Then you just swipe it on any other bus that day. The pass is printed with the expiration date on it.(Credit Card size piece of cardboard).

And I should also say, they bus system is only part of what OCTA is in charge of, and is using the term OC Bus to make it clear they are talking about just the transit system.

I'm headed there (HH) tonight. I'll try to remember to give a report when I return on Sunday. I got a great deal for it on Expedia $113/nt for a 2Q, 1 BR, sofabed, kitchenette.

The walk from HH is about two minutes longer.

So, I absolutely love the Hyatt House. It is fresh, clean, comfortable, affordable and has a variety of room options. The breakfast was quite decent with sausage, bacon, eggs, oatmeal, waffles or pancakes, Greek yogurt, fresh pineapple, melon, oranges and grapefruit, cereal, granola, bagels, toast and English muffins. The eggs were the one low point as they were obviously not fresh cracked, and there wasn't any cheese or salsa to mask that. The beds and even the sofa bed are comfortable. We could see most of the fireworks from our
fourth floor Katella Ave. facing room. The road noise was noticeable but not a problem. The walk was 12-15 minutes depending on the traffic lights. Overall, I would pick this anytime over CCI.

I'd bypass both of them and stay at the Hotel Indigo. Its a very nice modern hotel with lower rates and free parking. And you don't have to cross Katella Ave to get to Disneyland.

For any of you who've stayed at Hyatt House lately, what does the hotel charge for parking? And do you have to move your car out of their lot on check out day by a certain time?

I have 2 reservations and have to decide. Right now I have Hyatt House and Hyatt Regency booked. The Regency is about $20 cheaper a night, but it has it's own shuttle and a restaurant in the hotel. I really can't decide! I have a 7yo (almost 8), and I'm not sure we want a 15 minute walk to the parks. It was a last minute trip, so most other hotels are booked.
