CC Hold and lost CC Question

I made a reservation at the California Grill this Friday for our December trip and was told that I needed to give a credit card number to hold the reservation. No problem-I've done this for Cinderella's Castle breakfast before. Yesterday I lost that credit card at a store and called to have it cancelled/replaced today. Will this effect my cc hold at Cali Grill?

They won't even use that CC number unless you're a no-show......so in essence it means you could be a no-show and they couldn't do anything about it.

Now...if it's one of those that you have to pay up front, then it all depends on whether that charge went through to your account yet. Call your CC company and ask them....if it hasn't let them know about the pending charge and see if they can allow that one through to the new number.

I have several auto payments that go to my credit card and when my card was lost they were able to authorize payments from those particular parties onto my new card number without my having to do anything.

If they can't, you'll likely have to call WDW and work with them to get the charge re-processed to the new card number. That sounds like more hassle than losing the card, though.
