CC deposit to reserve

So, I am planning a trip for some family of my mom's coworker........and I have all their ADR's arranged where I want them to be, but if I can get them into Norway or Mickey's Backyard BBQ, do they need a CC to reserve? I have never done DDP (much less their deluxe DDP plans) so I'm not sure.....I'm just trying to make it as easy for them as possible.....

Both those meals require a credit card to guarantee the reservation. It won't be charged unless they don't cancel and don't show up. (Without DDP, you'd have to pay for Mickey's barbecue in full when you book it, so make sure when you make the reservation you tell them the guests are on DDP)

Ok, that's what I thought.....and would they let me put my CC for their reservation? I mean, if I was the CM on the line, they would be like "umm why is the name different from the people having the reservation?"

Do you want your card charged if, for whatever reason, they don't show up for the meal? They do not sound like persons you are particularly close to.

I don't know if you'd be permitted to give a credit card to guarantee a reservation for a party you are not going to be part of or not. I personally wouldn't do it.

I think I might be able to get his mom's (the grandma of the kids) CC #, but here's another question.....if I can't or don't.....is there a way for me to reserve it & get their info on it? I mean, changing it from my name, not on the ressie and them calling to change it from my name to theirs.....would they do that?

or just a question.....what would ya'll do?
