I gave up on Ghost Whisperer with the whole dead Jim in a different body. It jumped the shark, which given the premise of the show, you would think would be difficult to do.
I stopped watching after that, too. Especially when they jumped 5 years also and acted like the whole Jim thing didn't happen- after what they put us through emotionally hoping Jim would still be alive, come back, and be the same actor.
I saw a commercial preview for their season finale, where Melinda & Jim were having an argument. The voiceover asked, "Will Jim & Melinda's marriage survive?" I thought, "Are they still trying that crap again? Putting the viewers left through an emotional wringer over their love, a
second time? Been there, done that."

I'm not surprised the show got canceled.
What will that leave them with? Survivor and AR? Oh and Big Brother this summer?
The spinoff series to
Criminal Minds will be added to CBS. Hopefully the original show will be picked up again, since it's at the top of Wed night's ratings. But, stranger decisions have gone through the minds of TV programming reps,
i.e. the firing & re-hiring of Jay Leno, who was
also at the top of the ratings in his time slot.
A potential problem I see is that the reruns air so much on A&E and ION TV, that the CBS programmers may think the TV is over-saturated with
Criminal Minds. Instead of somehow getting the syndicated cable networks to air less of the reruns, the network execs stupidly cancel the
original show instead.
