Hi All
We (Wife, 2 boys ages 6 & 3, 1 girl age 1, and I) leave in 8 days for a week @ CBR.We will be flying down so we be relying on WDW's transportation system. Which area @ CBR is best (pool, transportation, kids, food, quiet, entertainment, etc) and how do I go about requesting this area

I'll be staying there beginning June 6th and I requested either Martinique or Trinidad North because they are the closest to the food court and main pool. I don't know if they're quiet or not because I've never stayed there. I made my request by calling the CRO. When we received our "welcome" packet from Disney with the hotel voucher it had our request printed on it. I have also been told that you can fax your request in.

There is a FAQ for CBR and I'm sure that any questions that you have are addressed there. Have a great trip....I know I will. :)

You really should check out the thread listed below for answers to your CBR questions. It is a great resort. You will have a great time.

We stayed in room 4251 in Jamaica last June '02. We loved it. Very close to the ice machine, quiet pool, laundry, beach and playground equipment. A pleasant 4 minute walk to the main pool and eating area via the wonderful Parrot Cay Island and bridge. This was a second floor water view room with a great view of the gorgeous lake. Parking lot was close and I think the biggest advantage is that Jamaica is the first bus stop coming and going. Which means when the bus comes to take you to a park, it is empty. So you get a seat. When you come back from a park, you may be standing but Jamaica is again the first stop so you're the first ones off. You will love the CBR no matter what, it is just fantastic!

Where are the ice machines located? Near the pools, laundry, etc?

Hi we just we returned home from CBR on Tuesday. We loved this resort. We were in Martinique 2521. This was a bottom floor - corner room, so we had two windows. It looked out over the lake and to the left was the food court and main pool. We had ask for and faxed in room requests for Martinique 26 or Trinadad 31. Upon checking in I was upset we didn't get those building But our room was only about 10 extra steps away from what we requested so it all worked out well.

I only thing I didn't like was, upon checking in you have to go wait in an area for them to drive you over to your building with your luggage. Although I didn't mind having someone else tote our luggage to the room, we had to wait about 1/2 hour for the van to pick us up.

This is a beautiful resort and I would stay there again, even pick this one over some of the Deluxe resorts we've stayed at. I loved walking out my door every morning and sitting outside watching the duck (and many had babies) swimming on the lake or in the sand.

The food court was good. Shutters was good. We rented a Surry Bike on our last day ($18.00 for 1/2 hour - two seater) and rode all around the resort. This was great - I only wish we had done it earlier in our trip to get to see all of the resort. We received awesome little washcloth animals from "Mousekeeping" on three days and little notes from them. We left them a $3.00 tip each day in a fancy "Mousekeeping" envelope. It was cool coming back to the room in the evening and having a little dog, duck and toothbrush holder made for us. My daughter was real excited to receive these.

I'll be happy to answer any other questions about CBR.

My favorite island at the CBR is Martinique. It's close to Old Port Royale but still quiet. You have your choice of catching the bus in Martinique or OPR. You also can go to the main pool and each island has a pool. I think this is a great resort for children becuase there are several pools, playground, beaches (can't swim in them though), arcade, boating, biking and nice walkways to take relaxing walks. The theme is great and the scenery is beautiful. We've always had good experiences at this resort. When you decide which island or building you would like to stay, just call CRO and ask them to add the request to your reservation. Enjoy your stay!
