My sister is going nuts. We are planning a vacation for just us (adult) sisters and brothers. We could have a total of 4 adults in this room, but currently have only 3. Which resort would offer the most fun, food, etc. Both hotels have the same square footage in the rooms.

I have stayed in the CBR with my family. I really like it! But it would be cool to check out another resort.

They are such different resorts but both fun and great places to stay. I would say if you can afford it try the WL. It is awesome. The food court isn't quite as good but there are two other restaurants and you can take the boat over to the Contemporary and monorail for other food options. It is also nice that everything is in one building at the WL.

We just went through the WL vs CBR debate in my family. We loved WL when we visited in '96 and wanted to go back. However, the almost $100 per night difference (through DU) in price swung the pendulum in favor of CBR. If money is no object, go with WL. Since you already know what CBR is like, you need to figure out what should and extra $100 per night buy and does the WL provide it?

We went through the exact same debate a few months ago while we were planning our upcoming vacation.

We spent our honeymoon at CBR back in '00 and loved it! It was also dramatically less expensive than any of the deluxes. However, when Disney offered the Fairy Tale Package a few months ago, the WL became an option, so we went for it. It's still alot more expensive than the CBR (also using the FTP), but this may be our last Disney vacation for a few years, so we figured the money would be well spent.

I'm sure we will like WL but CBR is wonderful as well. I loved the Banana Cabana & watching Illuminations from the beach!

No matter which resort you choose, you can be sure you'll have a wonderful time because you'll be in Disney World!!! :p

IMHO, WL wins this battle with one hand tied behind it's back. Not that the CBR isn't nice (heck, it will always hold a special place in our Disney hearts as it was the first place we set foot on Disney property on the first night of our honeymmon trip - what a Magical memory), but the theming, facilities, and amenities are just that much better at the WL. The resort is gorgeous and really transports you to the Pacific NW. The DW isn't even an outdoorsy, PacNW type person (she prefers beachy themes) and she still LOVES it. The boat to the MK is great. While the CBR might have a better food court for cheap eats options, the WL has some nice restaurants. As far as I am concerned, and many of the critical folks I know over on the Rumors board are too, the WL is one of the best themed of all the Disney resorts. If you happen to be travelling anytime between Thanksgiving and Christmas even better as the holidy decorations and atmosphere at the WL are second to none. Hard to imagine you wouldn't find it a better choice than the CBR....................so long as the extra scratch isn't a problem. Then again, the WL is the cheapest of the Deluxe resorts, so it is well worth it.

Thanks for all the help. :D My sister booked us into the CBR in prefered rooms and asked to be near the food court. She said that we'll have to see how that one comes out. I told her that we'll have to wander over the WL to check it out while we are there. Again, thanks!

We love the WL and I think the only other resort that I prefer more is the Poly.
You may be disappointed when you see what you passed up at WL to stay at CBR. They are two totally different resort levels which is why the price difference is so great. It is like comparing Apples to Squash.

Do you really want to see what you passed up? This could be the start of a family feud.
