Hi all!!!

So we have our WDW trip planned for this Sept and I have been researching everything..

SOmething I came across was the negativity with CBR. According to the "Unoffical WDW Guide", they are not rating the CBR high at all.

The POP and All Stars are higher rated that the CBR...

My question is DO I STAY @ CBR OR SWITCH TO A VALUE RESORT??

Pls advise.

TIA!!!:yay:

I have not seen the ratings, but ASMu and ASSports have both just been refurbashed. Both of our last stays were at these hotels. We found them clean in the room and on the grounds. They even had privacy curtains in Jazz section of ASMu. The cost is much less as well. I have never said this on these boards since I really do like the Caribbean Beach, but on our last stay there, we were walking the walkway around the lake and saw 2 smaller rats on the path. It was a creepy thing for me and my son who was a young teen at the time. I do love the resort and I guess this could happen anywhere, but I was VERY surprised to see this at WDW.

RATS:scared1: In the land of the Mouse??? Yikes, I am so creeped out!

I know, we are huge Disney fans and I had to swallow hard when seeing them. We have been there many times since but it is in the back of my mind at times. I guess they could be anywhere.

First you have to decide if your needs will be met at a Value resort. You will not have a pool slide or rental amenities and you will not have a sit down restaurant. The rooms sizes really are not that much different when you consider the time spent in the rooms.

Then you have to decide if those items are worth the price difference. We used to always stay moderate, then jumped deluxe, and now have primarily stayed value when onsite. I will stay moderate/deluxe when I get a good discount. We travel all over the property to eat, so the sitdown is not as important to me. Last fall and this fall will be 10 day trips to POP. I will be eating at TS in the parks and at several of the other resorts. I don't have to stay there to eat there.

If you decide that moderate is the level of service you want, then it is up to you to decide which resort. There are folks who like and dislike all of them for many reasons. For me some are worth the extra price, and some are not worth more than I pay at value. I guess you just have to decide which resort sounds like it suits you, read up on it, and then make the final decision.

Good Luck !

Thank you

I will talk it over more w/ DH and make a decision.....

Just to add my 2cents.. as nice a CBR may be, ASM is my favorite. It is just so Disney. You can't go wrong with this hotel. It may be a value but its clean, fun to be at and ultimatley- distinctly Disney!

Good luck picking!
