I have a standard CBR room booked for 9/25 - 10/6 with just me and my DGF. We luckily have some extra money now and would like to upgrade rooms. What would you suggest?

King, Pirate or Pirate Water View?

We are really into theming, but I know the Pirate rooms are the farthest. And the King rooms could be anywhere and the beds are more comfortable, but the regular rooms have no theming (except Nemo on the blankets). We are so torn right now. Anyone have any suggestions?

I would do either a Pirate Room or a King Room. We won't pay more for a water view at a moderate or value because in order to actually see the water from our room we have to leave the blinds open. And with the exterior hallways, everyone walking by can see in so we don't leave them open. Now we will pay more for a good view at a deluxe because we have a balcony to sit on while having morning coffee or a night cap and enjoy the view.

If you really like the theme, then do a Pirate Room. They are further out, but it's not unbearable by any means. I answered your post in the CBR PAQ thread with the walk times.

If you want a bigger bed, do a King.

The theming in the pirate rooms is absolutely wonderful. I agree that it would probably be a waste of money to do the Waterview. We stayed in the pirate rooms last year and had approximately a 10 minute walk to the food court. We walk fast :-)

I agree with the PP about the water view rooms. Why pay for a view when you need to have your blinds closed all the time for privacy?

Actually, I wouldn't choose any of your options. I'd use the extra money for a preferred room. Less walking to Old Port Royale would be totally worth it for me.

Thanks guys! We walk fast too (New Yorkers, lol), so that solves that problem. Right now, we are just deciding between theming and comfort. LOL!!

We have a queen bed at home, and a double is only slightly smaller, so I think we're going to go with the pirate room, for the experience.

And yeah, the water view makes no sense! I never thought about it that way! Thanks so much for your input!
