When making my PS for the Kona Cafe the CM asked where we were staying and I said the CBR. He told me to allow ourselves "an hour or more" if we were using Disney transportation, which we are.

We've used Disney transportation before (2002 & 2003) but I don't recall it taking that long to get anywhere on property. Matter of fact, I've always found it to quite efficient.

Is this another "don't trust anyone not wearing purple pants?"

It's never taken me that long, but wouldn't you rather be safe than sorry? Besides, the Poly is a great place to walk around and check out the grounds. The Lobby is beautiful as well as the paths around the resort and the beach down by the lagoon. Is your PS around the same time as wishes? If so you can watch it from the beach as well as the electric water pageant at 9:15. The shops are also pretty cool!

My suggestion is take your time and have fun!!!

Well, you know you can't go from the CBR to the Poly without transferring. Your best bet is to take a bus to the MK and then monorail to the Poly.

worst case scenario:
get to bus stop at CBR - wait 20 minutes for bus.
bus ride to MK - 15 minutes
walk to and wait for monorail - 10 minutes
monorail to Poly - 15 minutes

total of 1 hour

Yes, and no... Chances are, it won't take you an hour to get there. HOWEVER... it's always best to plan for Murphy's Law... Murphy does love to vacation at Disney after all. And besides, its best to get there EARLY than to get there late.

We stayed at CBR this past May and when we had b-fast at Kona, we just took the bus to MK. We were going to take the monorail, but the boat was waiting so we just took that. I think it took 30 minutes total. -Stephanie

I had forgotten all about Murphy. He follows us on every vacation and just loves to wreak havoc.

Maybe we'd be better off planning for 2 hours transportation time!;)
