CBR to Boardwalk

What's the most efficient way to get from CBR to BW? According to an old transportation guide, Disney suggests the bus to DTD then connect to BW. This really seems the "long way around the barn". What about taking the bus to Epcot, then transfer to BW? Any suggestions?

I think you're better off taking the bus to MGM instead of Epcot. From MGM you don't even enter the park - you can hop the boat or walk to BW. If you took the bus to Epcot, you'd have to enter Epcot AND walk all the way through it to the IG exit, then on to BW. Good luck!

Thanks for your quick reply . That sounds better than the Epcot or DTD route. I was concerned about having to enter the park to take the transfer. For the return trip, we probably will do the DTD route because we'll be doing DTD that night anyway.

Absolutely take the bus to MGM and then walk to BW. When you get off the bus, keep walking toward the canal, with the park on your left. Go to the right of the canal, you will be on a walkway, with the parking lot on your right, canal on the left. The walkway will go down a slope, towards the water. Stay on it, go under the bridge, then you'll be at BW. You can cut through at the main pool area (clown pool!!). Cut through there, go underneath the building, with the health club/arcade on your right, restrooms on your left, you'll be at the village green, with the boardwalk to your left.
Or, you can stay on the walkway to the end, then go right, with Jellyrolls on your right, Atlantic Dance Club on your left, onto the boardwalk.
This is one of my favorite walks in all of WDW. It takes about 15 mins.

We've also done the walk from MGM to BW many times. I'm not sure if you see the clown pool from the walkway. We take the short cut at the tennis courts.

While you may not see the 'clown face' you will see the Keister Coaster itself. I have never gone through the tennis court area. But that's doable as well...I just find it a bit quicker to cut through the pool area.
