Hi all! Myself, my wife and 4 year old daughter, as well as my in laws, are staying at CBR late June. What are everyone's thoughts on this resort? We have stayed there before and liked it, but I know it has undergone changes since last we were there. Any advice and thoughts are much appreciated! Thanks, and I'm looking forward to being a part of the boards!!

We stayed there for 2 weeks last summer and loved it. My advice - have a car. Big resort, which we don't mind, but the bus stops are a pain if you ride the busses.

One of the changes is switching out the double beds to queen size beds (I believe this started in summer 2014 so I imagine it would be completed by now)! We have stayed there before but paid for a Preferred Room and couldn't have picked a better room if we chose it ourselves. I think it really made a difference to be in the Martinique building ... it allowed us to grab a drink when we got back at night and to choose between the main pool or the quiet pool as they were both close. No matter what your location, as you already know, the theming is beautiful.

Couldn't agree more about having a car. We found the bus service to be terrible in November. We were in Jamaica building 46 which was a good location for proximity to Old Port Royale and the main pool. Check out a map and make some building/section requests so you're not in stuck in one of the remotely located buildings.

Love CBR. Don't mind the bus transportation or the number of stops. Largest moderate in terms of outdoor space. Each resort has a pool. Love the walk around the lake. We no longer bring a car, but if you don't like waiting, a car may be valuable to you. Close to EPCOT, and in the Jamaica pool, you can see some of the EPCOT fireworks. Love the Caribbean theme. We are staying there again in September when my oldest son is home from the Army.

New room decor, which includes Queen Sized beds and 'doors' to separate the vanity/bath from main room. Some rooms will also feature a pull down trundle that can accommodate a 5th guests:

Having already stayed at the resort... I'm sure you're familiar the layout/amenities. We've stayed at CBR 4 times, never once with a car... and still don't feel like we need one.

We tend to request Aruba or Jamaica just for location/proximity to the Food Court and Main Pool area.

CBR ranks as our favorite moderate... even with it's size. I love how each village has their own bus stop, quiet pool, and even beach area. The resort is such a nice break from the chaos and crowds of the parks... and it's large layout really gives it an intimate feel at times; plenty of space, for plenty of people!

The bus situation here is just as hit or miss as any other resort... and the 7, yes seven, bus stops don't exactly help. Jamaica and Martinique are first picked-up and dropped off... the drop off aspect is the one we prefer! We don't mind waiting for the other stops in the morning (especially since first on usually means were able to sit, though we of course follow bus seat etiquette!) but on the way back, after a long exhausting park day, it's nice to be the first stop off. It's not 'perfect' though... since the resort alternates entrances depending on your park... you could still be picked up 4th or 5th when staying in those buildings... though the entrance closer to Jamaica seemed to be used more frequently!

Given the larger size, we also do like to keep a few snacks and drinks in the room. We'll either pick them up at the resort or consider a gardengrocer.com order depending on our length of stay.

We stayed there this month and loved the new rooms! We requested Martinique, but didn't pay the extra for preferred. I thought it was a great location. Not far from OPR and the beach with the fire pit for roasting marshmallows. Shutters restaurant food was even better than I expected. We had the fish and it was hot and tasty. We had our car, but used the buses and never had a long wait. Good trip. It does seem like the Food Court building could use some new paint and carpet soon though.
