Last minute trip May 5-9 We were able to park reservations at Epcot each day and will park hop. I have CBR booked and it makes me nervous because everyone keeps saying it’s dated. There wasn’t much left without paying and arm and a leg. What is the best standard room building I should request?

Honestly I don't feel like it really matters. If you can get either the Jamaica or Aruba bldg closest to the bridge to the pool/food/lobby; I'd try for that, but the resort is just really big. If you're in Jamaica you'll be closer to the CBR skyliner station (better for dhs) and if you're in Aruba; you'll be closer to Riviera station which is better for Epcot.

Our 2 favorite locations for Standard Rooms are Jamaica 45 and Aruba 51. Both are centrally located and both have rooms that are closer to Old Port Royale and the Main Feature pool than some Preferred Rooms. I think you'll enjoy CBR, it's our favorite moderate by far. Hope you have a magical trip!

Thanks! I have requested the Aruba building. I have stayed at the Riviera and walked around CBR. I really like the Old Port Royale area. Honestly as long as I am at Disney I will be happy!

i stay at CBR In standard rooms all the time, they're perfectly fine (especially if you get a good rate, and as another poster said, aruba and jamaica sections are both great, in fact i prefer aruba to stroll over to riviera for their food options. have a great time, i find the skyliner access makes the trip so much better.

Most standard rooms will be in Aruba or Jamaica. We've requested Jamaica 45 or Aruba 51 both times we've stayed at CBR, but were assigned Jamaica 46 and Jamaica 42, respectively. They were close to the Skyliner hub which was nice, and the Joffrey's stand which was closer for a quick breakfast than the Old Port Royale is. It was a decent hike to OPR, so not conducive to having refillable mugs.

I wouldn't be nervous about it being 'dated.' I thought the refurb from a couple years ago was quite nice and fit an island theme well. I don't really find dark woods to be an outdated motif. The new lobby and food court area are really nice. The lobby had a wonderful lemon candy scent when we were last there and the food in the food court was excellent.
