We check in less than 2 weeks from today. I was wondering what advice you all had as far as good room locations at CBR. I have 3 DD's and a double stroller so I need 1st fl if possible. Id like to be close to a bus stop and/or the food courts. I have already requested a crib and to be on the 1st fl. Any tips???

When you get there, at check-in, kindly ask if you could possibly be upgraded to a preferred location. Most of the time, if there is availability in a preferred location, they will upgrade you for free. We were upgraded to Martinque Bldg, corner room, overlooking the quiet pool. It was awesome. It nevers hurts to ask ! Have a blast !! :cool1:

If you want a preferred location I would call reservations now and see if a preferred room is available. I wouldn't wait until you got there. If you are going in two weeks I am sure the resort will be very crowded. A preferred location is worth the money.

Otherwise I would suggest Jamaica or Aruba. Be aware that there is construction at the end of the bridge area by the main pool. You have to walk through the pool area to get to Old Port Royale.

The Jamaica section is nice. It's across from the main pool/food court and an easy walk to the bus depot. I hope that you have a great time!

Also, there is a bus stop at every village, as well as at Old Port Royale -- no rooms are very far from the bus stops.

We love CBR!!

I would reserve a preferred room if you want a guaranteed close location. All of the 'islands' have bus stops, so you will never be far from there. Really, with the exception of Barbados and particularly Trinidad South, you are still fairly close to the food court/main area.

The fewer requests you have, the more likely you are to get them. Be sure they are already noted on your ressie and make sure they know which one(s) are the most important to you. The earlier you can check in on the day of your arrival, the more likely they will be able to work with you.

We have always sent a fax with our requests a few days prior and have managed to get what we asked for EVERY time. Some say do, some say don't, it may have helped, may not have, but it sure didn't hurt.

Definitely get a preferred room if you want to be near the food court! When I stayed at CBR, I got Trinidad South which is near absolutely nothing and a major hike to the food court. I wanted a different room but the CM refused to switch. I know on these boards, it seems that absolutely everyone gets a free upgrade or gets all their requests granted, but that isn't always the case - someone has to get those rooms in the boonies! Especially at CBR which is soooo spread out, get a preferred room if you really want a decent location!

On our last visit this past spring, I requested Martinique Bldg 25 - which is in the preferred section - and got it! We had stayed there before and loved the very close distance to OPR and our bus stop.

I stayed in CBR May of 07 and i had prefered room. I would suggest the Martinique building. I had room 2417 which was GREAT. i don't know if it's nice enough to swim but from that room the pool was right when you walked out and it was never noisy. Our walk to the food court took us no more then 5 min and then there is a bus stop by the food court or from building 24 it was also no more then 5 min. GREAT resort....
