I would like opinions on room requests for CBR. I will not be requesting a preferred building. We will have our car and will drive most of the time. The only real request I have is nonsmoking. Can anyone recommend a building for me? Thanks.

I'm not sure which of these are non-smoking, MOST buildings at CBR are non-smoking, but I think the best non-preferred buildings at CBR are Jamaica 45 and Aruba 51, (since you aren't interested in the preferred locations). These are close to the bridge that lead from that side of the lake, over the footbridge to Old Port Royale (main pool, food court, restaurant, shops, arcade). It's a nice walk from that side of the resort, over the footbridge.
I strongly advise against staying at Trinidad SOUTH. There is an actual road that cars and the buses use to circle around the resort, and it cuts right between Trinidad SOUTH and the rest of the resort. So not only would it be a long walk to anywhere else in the resort, but it looks like it doesn't even belong with the rest of the resort. I've stayed in Martinique 25 twice and it was nice and quiet and serene It's a myth that the buildings close to OPR are "noisy". The only close building that may possibly be a little noisy would be Trinidad NORTH 31 because its the building closest to the main pool, but I've never seen anyone complain of noise there.
Thanks for the info. We stayed in Martinique in 2001. We enjoyed CBR very much. This time it is a quick 3 night trip and a preferred location just isn't that important.
