Hi all!

We are headed to Disn :cheer2: ey on May 14th for a week. We are staying at the Carribean Beach Resort and i have a couple of questions. Is there a hairdryer in every room and is it a good one? Also i understand that the rooms now come with a fridge. If this is true then i want to stop and buy breakfast stuff and snack stuff. We are renting a car to get around. My boys are 14 and 12 and do not want to sleep together. Is the room big enough to get a day bed or cot? I was hopping to wait until we get there to decide the sleeping arangements. Also the refillable mugs - do you get them in your room or buy them at the restaurant? Last question can you take a waterbottle into the parks and are there lots of water fountains to refill it? I quess that was too questions eh!
Well thanks for listening to a newbie!
Any help would be great! :cheer2:

I stayed at CBR in December and it was great! Very lush and beautiful! I can't wait to go back in November! :Pinkbounc

There was a hair dryer, I didn't use it, but my mom did. It wasn't the best, but it did the job!

We had a fridge in our room and it was great! We went to the grocery store and got lunch meat and stuff for breakfast and saved a ton of money. Plus it was nice to have fruit and stuff. So much of what you eat down there isn't the healthiest, so having options was nice. If there isn't a fridge in your room, just call the front desk (or Mousekeeping) and they will get you one for no charge ASAP!

The rooms were pretty roomy, I would say that there would be room for a cot, or for someone to sleep on the floor. I think you may have to rearrange some of the furniture, but you should be ok!

The mugs were in the food court...they had a few different shapes, designs and colors to choose from. All Very cute!

I always bring a bottle of water with me into the parks and have never had a problem refilling it if needed...

Have a great time on your trip! :wizard:

Well, I haven't stayed at CBR YET but I do know or did ask some of the questions you just did.
There is a frig in the rooms, if not you call and ask.
As for the mugs, you buy them at one of the food courts within the resort.
I'm pretty sure I was told that the room is NOT big enough to accomodate a cot or daybed. I don't think any of the moderates can, can anyone confirm this?
As far as water, I do believe there are water fountains throughout the parks.
Hopefully I helped a little :flower:
Good Luck!!

Thanks so much Meggie Pooh for your replies. You answered all my questions!

Everything Pooh said.
I'll add that we got back a week ago a had a great time. The CBR is GREAT! You'll love it. Request a corner room.

You might want to read the CBR FAQ's listed below.

There is a hair dryer in the room but I would bring your own. I don't like the hotel ones. I don't think they put out enough air.

Your choice of rooms is two double beds or one king. No day beds but you may get a roll away for $15 extra per day. You could also bring an inflatable bed for someone to use.

I have pictures of the mugs on my photo.epson site listed below.

I'm not sure if they supply cots. You would have to bring an aero bed, a twin should fit. POR has trundle beds that fit and CBR has bigger rooms.

We had a king sized bed in our room and there was plenty of room for two kids to sleep on the floor in sleeping bags or whatever. However, they probably won't let you have a king sized bed since there are 4 of you. :flower:

We're booked as a "standard King." I think they only have one category of King. Does this mean it WON'T have water view or be close to the center of the resort? DTC booked it with a request for non-smoking, lake view. I definitely want non-smoking, but if it's a question of a water view room 1/2 mile away from the main food/pool area, I would rather take a lesser view and not have to walk so much. Since they don't have that many King bed rooms, I was wondering if they're concentrated in one place.

Corner rooms are the same size as a regular room. All it has is an extra window. No more quiet than the others.

Standard king could be anywhere in the resort. If you want a short walk to the food court and main pool you need to get a preferred building. Those cost $15 extra nightly. You might want to ask for Jamaica village for just a regular location. It is a short walk across the lake.

We had a corner room once with 2 windows (not all have 2 windows), I thought it was more noisy, people walking by plus the steps were right there. Each night someone banged their stroller up the steps. We were on the second floor and when kids ran down the walkway the whole wall vibrated.
