We are going to be at the CBR the first week of December. We requested preferred location. It will be my DH, DD who is 13 and myself. I was wondering if we should request first or second floor rooms. I also heard Pop Warner could be at this resort. Should I be worried for alot of kids running around.princess: princess:

We will be there in a couple of weeks and have been reading a lot into the resort.
From what I have read and heard, your better off requesting the first floor. Otherwise you have to walk up the stairs which can be a pain, especially at night it's pretty dim. The view may be better from the second floor but I've heard that when you walk out your door(on the 1st floor) it's very tropical(palm trees etc...)
We can't wait to be there. We are requesting connecting rooms at trinidad north or second choice Jamaica!
Have fun on your trip!:)

we were on second floor in jamaica and ididnt find it to be a problem at all..of course, everyone prefers different things...have a great time!

been there done that, keep in mind that most of Trinidad North is a preferred location costing extra nightly.

You will love CBR! We have stayed in Jamaica every trip and have tried first and second floor. I could care less which we have, but my DH has bad knees so he welcomed the first floor last last we went. The CBR FAQ thread has a bunch of info and pictures. Check it out.

Safetymom, We alrealdy paid for our package; it is for a preferred water view. Will we still have to pay extra for Trinidad north? We already requested connecting rooms but in our room we would like a king. Is that extra?
I guess first or second floor does'nt matter. That's good to know.

We were just there for a week over Easter. We paid for preferred and requested Martinique 2nd floor, got Trinidad North 2nd floor. Requested 2nd floor because we thought it might be more noisy with guests above us. Were very happy and steps even with two children at night weren't a problem.

Thanks Macnados. I did request to be close to food court and main pool. How far was the walk to OPR from Trinidad North. We'll our 2 kids and our friends have 2 kids so a shorter walk would be better. the CBR facts thread by safetymom has been very helpful. The only real far away village seems to be Trin. South.

Walk to OPR/pool was about two or three minutes if you walk slowly. We were there a few years ago and our walk from Aruba was a good bit longer.

we were in trinidad south (i think! bad memory! LOL!) and i hated the stairs to the 2nd floor but loved the view... many a night dh and i sat out on the "walkway" (LOL a poor man's patio) and watched fireworks, which we could not have done on the first floor... so it was worth it! a preferred room, imo, is also worth it 'cause it's a long walk for a cup of coffee in the morning! LOL!

We're looking forward to CBR in October. Since I love the full effect of the lake and our youngest loves the pink buildings we'll be staying in Aruba. I was wondering though, aren't there coffee makers in the rooms. DH and I thought making tea and such wouldn't be a problem in the morning but if the only way to get a cup of java is walking I may rethink where we'll be.

Even if there is a large group staying there you won't have to worry the resort is so large it should'nt be too bad except maybe at the food court but if you try to get there a little before or after the "normal" eating hours it's okay.

Have fun!

We will be at CBR in two weeks.(eight of us) We did'nt realize that we had to call and book transportation from the airport to the resort costing extra money. We were under the assumption that shuttle busses went back and forth all day and the service would be free. We were told this but I just called Disney and they said no. We have to book Mears, Happy Limo... Does anyone know who to call and who has a better price?
I would appreciate any help.
We also called CBR to request a king room and they told us they cannot grant that request becase there will be four of us in the room. I told them one is my 1year old DS who will be in a crib and one is my DD(4) who always ends up in our bed. They said we have to have two double beds. I don't understand this at all. I feel like there telling me our DD can't sleep with us. So now there will be 3of us(maybe 4 if DS won't stay in the crib) in one bed.
We always get a king bed when we go away. This is the first time I've been denied.
We also tried to request a village and they said we have to call 48 hours before the trip.

We did Tiffanny Town Car over Easter and it was $75.00 (roundtrip) after using five dollar coupon from their website. Did snack & adult beverage stop. Tipped ten each way because driver was very nice and also helpful with luggage. With eight of you a stretch limo might be in order or shuttle bus. Stay away from Mears, way too long getting to resort. They stop at every resort. They usually won't leave airport until bus is full. Price wise, they're not cheaper. Good Luck.

Thanks Macnados!
We called a few places. Happy Limo wants $135.00 round trip.
TiffanyTownCar and Fl.Tours want $120.00 round trip. They all stop at grocery stores. On Fl Tours website they have coupons so that is the cheapest so far for eight of us. Still seems like a lot:)
