CBR resort w/ POP mug?

I have 5 different resort refill mugs from, POP, POR, WL, AKL & CSR.
We are going to CBR in October for a quick 5 day trip.
I hate to buy another mug, and I see people with other resort mugs refilling all the time when I go.
Do I buy another mug at CBR or just bring one of my other resort mug?

The official policy requires you to use a CBR mug when you are staying at CBR.

The Disney policy is that resort refill mugs are good only for the resort you're staying at (and/or sister resort of which CBR has none), and for only the length of your stay.

You cannot use other mugs even if from the same resort. You have to buy a new mug each trip. The mug is only refillable for the length of your stay.

I can't believe Disney is letting folks get away with using Mugs from different resorts. I thought that the Mugs were only good at the resort you bought them from, and just for that particular trip.

However, I also have many Disney resort mugs from previous trips that are tempting to reuse.

Personally, I'd buy the new mugs. It removes any doubt of legitamacy and avoids any potentially embarassement.

I can't believe people use are using other mugs either but I see it everytime I go. I was at POP in April, (I bought a mug) and i saw lots of people using other resort mugs. I never saw a CM say anything to anyone.

I think i would feel quilty by bringing one of my other mugs, but I wasn't sure what other people thought.

I will have to get a bigger kitchen for all my resort mugs after this trip
But I will have a mug from all Moderate resorts, I can display them like trophies on my mantle

I have three sets of POR (2 POR and one DxL) mugs....I have never taken any of them back. And the first ones from DxL are from the day and age when the CMs told us all you could use the mugs forever at that resort!!!
So, the letter of the law is use the mug for that trip only, at the resort it was purchased at. However, plenty of people are reusing them, at different resorts. Do what you feel comfortable doing. I just know that the one time I bring one back to reuse at the same resort...a CM will grab me and cart me off to mug abuse prison!!!

When we stayed at All Star Music in Aug, my dh said each day he saw a woman fill an empty water bottle with sprite.

We also saw POR mugs being filled up there too.

When we stayed at POR, we saw all different kind of resort mugs.

You're not suppose to reuse those mugs with different stays, but at least if you use the same mug as that resort, no one but you and the guy upstairs knows you're cheating.

For me, just "me" knowing I was cheating would be enough to keep me from doing it. It's never occurred to me to re-use a mug. The rule says "don't", so I don't. It's pretty simple to me.

I agree, and follow the policy, length of stay...

Now dh likes to make coffee in the room, and he uses old mugs for his coffee he made in the room... and sometimes we indulge in an adult beverage, and we use our old mugs, and use alcohol we've brought from home, or bought at Publix... (so if you see us at POR, using Poly mugs, please rest assured we have bought POR mugs, and will fill them from the food court, any other mugs we fill with stuff we've brought or bought) Hope it doesnt upset anyone.

The bad part is if you split your stay.

I'm thinking about doing 1 week at CSR and 1 week at POLY. We've never stayed onsite before so I thought being able to stay at 2 would be nice. Bad part is, if we decide on the mugs (DEFINATELY for DH), then we'd have to purchase 2 seperate ones just because of the resort switching...

I brought my CBR mug from a previous stay back to CBR, and I didn't feel it would be right to try to use it. So I bought another one for my stay, and left the old one in my room. Funny, it never occured to me to watch if the other people used old or other resort mugs. Next time I'll check it out.
