CBR: Requesting rooms in same village?

We are traveling with my DB on our trip in 2009. They have never been to WDW and want to go with someone who knows where stuff is! This will probably be their only trip due to $$$. Anyway, we have decided to stay at CBR. I was wondering when we make reservations how hard it would be for us to get rooms that are in the same village? I am not concerned about getting adjoining rooms (too much time together is not a good thing!) but the same village would be convenient. Has anyone ever done this and got their request? Would we have a better chance if we book preferred locations? $$$ is tight for my DB and his family so I would prefer not to do this if possible.

You should call Disney and have them insert what is called a "travel with" in both reservations. That way you will have a much much better chance of being close to each other.

It should be easy enough to do. Just have both reservation numbers available when you call and request both of you be in the same village.

Now - I do warn you. I asked for adjoining rooms with my in-laws. NOT connecting rooms. That is too much togetherness. We got connecting rooms. So you just might end up with adjoining rooms or even connecting rooms after all. Consider noting on each reservation that you would like the same village but NOT adjoining rooms.
