CBR Renovations

Staying at CBR in one month with a few family members, one of whom has never been to WDW. If we are really only using the resort to grab a quick breakfast and to sleep, how much of an imposition will the construction be? Is it very disruptive? Is the appearance of the buildings and landscaping still well maintained? Also, is there any shopping at all? Thanks so much!

Stayed at the end of August and we didn't find it an imposition at all. The pools were lovely and all the "villages" were still beautiful. There is definitely options for a quick breakfast and a buffet quick service one (if you have the meal plan). The only drawback is the shopping. There is very little. It is really just a two sided truck. We ran into a small snafu when both my sister and I came down with a cold during our WDW trip. But we just waited and went to the stores at the resorts where we had dining reservations and one time my sister grabbed the monorail to CR to grab some cold meds before entering MK. So for us it wasn't a big deal but you need to determine if it will be worth it for you.
