CBR Refurb

Hi, I really enjoy these boards but have never posted before. Anyway, I was reading about the CBR refurb and we will be there in Sept/Oct staying at POR, I hate to sound selfish but with the refurb of CBR will this really overcrowd the other moderates? Also, thanks to the boards I was able to book Your Ride and find great prices on hoppers w/ the other sites mentioned. Thanks.

Hi Is-

I was really worried about the same thing last year when Disney closed POFQ. I ended up at Coronado Springs and loved it (what a blessing in disguise). I didn't really find it all that crowded. I'm not sure about CBR though, being that it's a much larger resort (many more guests to be displaced). I'm sure it won't be bad though... Dis wouldn't close the resort unless it was going to be slow anyway.

We have always found the months of Sept/Oct to be very light in terms of attendance at Disney. I don't think you will be overly crowded. By the way, we stayed at PORiverside 6/01, 9/01, and 7/02. While the crowds were much greater in June and July, the service was great and the resort is so spacious that you really don't notice. There are several quiet pools and the bus depots around the back of the resort (at the Bayou and Manor Homes) really help out with waiting for the bus. Also, take advantage of the boat trip to Downtown Disney.

Thanks!! We stayed in POR AB in 2000 and really loved it. We are a family of 5 so we don't have a big choice when it comes to resorts at the moderate level. I was just thinking w/ all the people being transferred from CBR that it would really overcrowd the other moderates. I have emailed and talked to Disney about the limited choices for a family of 5 (they tell me it has to do w/ fire code).
