I'm so confused!I have never stayed at CBR before-always ASMO- and we are finally staying there this december!I took seasprays advice and requested room #2515 in Martinique but now wondering if Jamaica might be better. One of our favorite things about ASMo was going to get our coffe in the morning(from Toy Story)and enjoying the walk.Nothing like taking in DISNEY first thing in the morning!!!!!So that's one of my questions-Martinique verses Jamaica?
Next, which islands have there own beach?I would like to be near that section.
Which areas can you view the fireworks from?
Should I request 2nd floor verses 1st?
I'm sure I'll come up with more but that's it for now!
Thanks,
Kim

Hi antkim,
I have stayed in Martinique and it is very convenient to OPR and the main pool and has a white, sandy beach with hammocks. Martinique's buildings are blue with red roofs and Jamaica's are yellow with blue roofs, both are very pretty. Jamaica is across the bridge from OPR and the main pool, but a nice walk nonetheless. I like to watch the fireworks from the beach by the main pool while having a frozen drink from the pool bar. I prefer the 2nd floor over 1st, but if you have young kids with strollers, 1st floor is easier. Even if you're in Martinique, you can still walk arouind the lake or rent the bikes. CBR is so pretty, you're gonna love it. Enjoy!!:)

So how many beaches are there?and can you see the fireworks from a few?(I see from looking at the map that some areas you don't face in the right direction)
The reason why I'm concerned about this is because we plan on spending only 1 day at MGM and the next night at MVMCP so our park time is limited which means we have much more time to enjoy the hotel-on purpose! We decided that there is so much to enjoy and see outside of the parks that we would not be so stressed out this year and take our time and enjoy!

Hi Kim:

I've seen the tops of the Epcot fireworks from the beach at Martinique, and while sitting at the tables on the patio near the pool bar. I know you can also see them from the Trinidad North beach!

Martinique 2515 is a nice room, and it's not so close to OPR that you won't feel like you've got a small walk, you know? It's not like it's only 2 steps or anything like that. It's still a nice, although short, walk to OPR, and you will walk right past the Martinique beach to get there, with a gorgeous view of the lake. And like Patio said, you can still walk around the entire resort when you want to! It's a beautiful resort, I think you will enjoy it, no matter where your room is

We stayed in Jamica in July and next time I'm going to request Martinique. Jamica wasn't bad, but I didn't like crossing the bridge and Parrot Cay everytime I went to OPR. It rained everyday we were there and because of that Parrot Cay never really dried. It was always wet and musty and there is bird droppings everywhere. I would have liked to avoided that to get to OPR.
